STARTER FOR: @dclphinedupontâ LOCATION: Harris House. TIME: 11:30PM. EVENT: Devilâs Night at the Harris House.
After a couple hours of candy, mingling, and dancing, John takes it upon himself to get some fresh air. He finds solace in the front of the Harris House where patrons also looking for quiet smoke cigarettes and gaze at the moon. One man is dressed as some kind of detective (which isnât the best idea in this town) while another is in a makeshift skeleton costume made out of construction paper and black clothing. John has to applaud the artistry, at least.
A cigarette of his own is plucked from his pack then. He cups the flame from his lighter with his palm, blowing smoke into the air soon after. âSomeone inside tried requesting a slow song,â He says to the blonde beside him, laughter lacing through his words. âI donât know if thatâs how these parties work. Though, I would be interested in seeing the man dressed as a gorilla slow dance with his partner whoâs dressed as Wonder Woman to some random Ed Sheeran song.â

Task 001
Full Name: Dominic âDomâ Dupont Gender & Pronouns: Cis Male & He/Him Age: 26 years old House: Endine Tier and Role: Prime, Heir Gift: Telekinesis (main), Illusionist Occupation: None
3 Positive Traits: LOYAL, CHARMING, AFFECTIONATE 3 Negative Traits: MERCURIAL, CYNICAL, PARANOID
Biography: kidnapping tw, mentioned needles tw, human experimentation tw, mentioned ptsd tw
Dominic was the younger son of Andreas and Cressida Dupont, a pair of ambitious Primes who sought to establish a powerful House and carve their name down in gifted history. However  when their first child, Delphine, was only born with Notable level gifts, they at first thought it was a mistake, bringing her to several gifted scholars and physicians, trying to see how they could unlock her full potential - only to be disappointed, again and again. Two years later, they gave birth to their son Dominic, who at the tender age of 5 already manifested with Prime level powers. Andreas and Cressida were over the moon, certain that the future of their House was already secure.
Dominic grew up with only the best of mentors, honing his gifts in anticipation of becoming the next Head of House. While his parents did not shower him with warmth and affection, too busy with their own pursuits, they paid great attention to his progress and development, treating as something to be prized, paraded about. All the love Dominic received in his childhood was from Delphine, and in turn he adored most fiercely, with all the single-minded devotion of a protective younger brother. Dominic never understood how his parents could not love Del, hated how they treated her as if she was weak, useless, secondary. It turned his heart bitter against them and from a young age his image of a perfect family was already shattered.
It happened when Dom turned sixteen years old. Heâd been coming home from school when he was suddenly cornered by a group of masked individuals. He tried to fight them off using his powers and was slowly gaining the upper hand, when he felt a sharp sting on his neck, his vision going dark only a few heartbeats later. When he finally woke up, he was trapped in a bare room, with a man who only told him that he would be his âhandlerâ from now on. It didnât take long for Dominic to piece together that it was the Institute who took him, and from the moment he woke he was already starting to plan his escape -
- until he discovered that Del had been taken as well, when she tried to protect him.
It was the way they used to control him, using Del as a bargaining chip, never truly hurting her but the risk was always there, hovering over his head. As such, Dom was always on his best behavior, despite how much it infuriated him, letting them do test after test - trying to see the range of his gifts, the nuances of it, until he collapsed, exhausted.
In the end, it was through Delâs efforts that they escaped. Getting help from an orderly Del had befriend, she and Dominic, as well as a handful of other gifted children, were smuggled out in the dead of night. Some part of them almost didnât realize a year had passed, time a blur for them inside the Instituteâs walls. And yet, the moment they tried to go back and see their parents - peeking though the window of their old house, only to see them holding their third child in their arms - Dom had already steeled himself for heartbreak, and yet it still hurt so damn much realizing they had already moved on.
Dom felt lost, adrift, but as always Del had a plan. She convinced Dom to run away with her to Asphodel, where a distant relative of theirs, one of the only adults who had treated Del like she mattered when she was a child, had established a Chapter House. Itâs been almost nine years since then, and while theyâve somewhat settled into their lives and identities in this small town rife with magic, some part of Dom knew it wasnât over, always seeing shadows where there were none, the ghost of the past always dodging his feet.

task 001: the beginning
FULL NAME: Theodore âTeddyâ Clairmont GENDER & PRONOUNS: Cis Male, He/his AGE: 29 HOUSE: N/A TIER & ROLE: Significant GIFT: Power Mimicry (the ability to mimic and copy the powers of others around oneself through touch) OCCUPATION: Magistrate Agent/WolfÂ
Golden child, Lion boy; Tell me what itâs like to conquer. Fearless child, Broken boy; Tell me what itâs like to burn.
BIOGRAPHY: (tw: kidnapping, human experimentation, ptsd, violence)
Theodore Clairmont was not fed by silver spoon. No - his spoon was spun of gold and encrusted with diamonds. The only heir to Clairmont Worldwide, a global brand of hotels and resorts, Teddy grew up with the best, well, everything. The golden boy, the tabloids named him. A prodigy, the headlines read. He was the product of impeccable breeding, a little boy with too clever eyes, wild ideas, and more than enough intelligence to bring them to life. For ten years, there was gossip about Teddy practically every day, whether it was his membership to Mensa or simply how cute his chubby cheeks were.
Then one day, it all stopped. No news, no photographs. The Clairmont family had firmly closed their doors on the prying eyes of the public.Â
But it wasnât the eyes of the general public they were worried about. Rather, what they feared were the invisible eyes in the walls, the hands that would surely steal their sonâs last breath. Because Teddy wasnât merely the golden boy. He was gifted. At age ten, he held a girlâs hand and felt a strange sort of pull, a warm question coaxing him to answer. And, because he was young and curious and reckless, he answered it. A little while later, he set fire to his curtains.Â
While other families might have rejoiced, the Clairmonts promptly packed their sonâs bags, booking him a red eye for Switzerland. Because while their money had gone to countless charities, it had also gone to the Institute, and they knew all too well what happened to children that were not only gifted, but special in their gifts. For the next eight years, Teddy attended boarding school in Switzerland, anonymous.Â
But it wasnât enough.
His high school graduation came around the same time as his motherâs birthday, and he flew back to the States in secret, hoping to surprise his parents. He never made it. The cab heâd called from the airport wasnât just any cab, and he found himself to be kidnapped, taken to a secret facility run by the Institute.Â
They had his parents, theyâd told him. Nulls were, after all, such delicate creatures. One pull of the trigger was all it took. And for the first time in his life, Teddy knew fear. So he agreed to their endless testing, agreed to be pitied against Dominic Dupont, agreed to push the limits of his power, and agreed with his signature charming smile. He knew he would get out. And he did, one fateful night when Delphine woke him up in a terse whisper.Â
Theyâd left, but Teddy vowed to come back.Â
After confirming his parentsâ safety, he sought out the Magistrate, who were more than willing to take him in, given his unique gift. And from then on, he trained. Relentlessly, with a brutal determination - nothing less could keep the nightmares at bay.Â
Yes, Teddy would come back to the Institute. And when he did, he would raze it to the ground.Â
â« PINTEREST â«Â
NEED TO KNOW: Teddy is currently working as a Magistrate Agent, though he is on probation for disobeying direct orders. As part of his probation, he is assigned to assist/ be under the watchful eye of Selwyn dâAlessi. He arrived in Asphodel two days ago.Â
