anyways a DR theory i have that i havent mentioned yet. World Egg Theory

updated DR predictions, theories, thoughts list cuz th next chapters are bound t come out any day now.

not going into depth about these predictions here. some of them arent quite so literal also. theyre just things that might be worked into the story and stuff

CHARACTER

"false prophet" / beast out of the earth Ralsei Ralsei = nameless angel who imprisoned Satan in the Abyss with a great chain in its hand (scarf.) Ralsei is probably Kris' missing red horned headband deconstructing his only understanding of reality, Ralsei WILL have a breakdown huge moment with Ralsei featuring flowers, vines, thorns, the whole shebang

"King of Monsters" Susie / Susiezilla (Godzilla titan species) /related to DR Titans and/or Echidna in some way. Typhon (AKA father of all monsters) somewhere in there Susie beast out of the sea / biblical dragons and serpents / chaoskampf monster "King of Beasts" lion Susie / circus lion

Mayor Holiknight (my personal favorite of the candidates) Vassal / Vessel Knight possibly Dess Knight instead?

Dess never shows up in the present (or she does. who fuckin knows lmao)

Seam will have an important role. maybe as an antagonist

Seam took out their own eye

King of Spades and Jevil will return with a large role Everyman. at some point

Gaster's experiment (Deltarune) has Kris (originally the Vessel) as a "controlled variable", Ralsei as a "dependent variable", and Susie as an "independent variable"

the Soul's role is meant to resemble a guardian angel, the Holy Spirit, Sacred Heart of Jesus. in the weird route, the devil that possibly possessed Judas, and possibly the angel that comforts Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane

Weird Route Noelle and Kris have similarities to Jesus Christ and Judas Iscariot, respectively Noelle is the only one who can free Kris from the player (specifically in the Weird Route, possibly in the main route)

Mayor Holiday's name is Mary C Holiday. in my heart

Tree Egg = Orphic World Egg? something about the Orphic World Egg in general though

LOCATION

Chaos (the literal location) is a layer between the Light World and the Dark World, a locked gate to it lies in Castle Town (probably through the true Dark Fountain. beyond that big door with the heart/soul and wings.)

The Cliffs / Strange Place meant to resemble Tartarus, the biblical Abyss, possibly Sheol

Titans are imprisoned in Chaos. Roaring likely emerges from the Cliffs in the Dark World, and the lake in the Light World

PROPHECY

prophecy is untrustworthy

"Angel Trinity Theory" / The Angel is The Father, Noelle Holiday is The Son, and the Soul is the Holy Spirit, together forming the Angel's trinity. contrasted by the Delta Warriors, an unholy trinity or something like that

closing Dark Fountains + recruiting Darkners = parallel to Book of Revelation, Satan "deceiving nations" and gathering them for the last holy battle

Deltarune experiment end goal = changing the world order, and its people. metamorphoses of the protagonists in particular, delta / change

the prophecy (Legend of Delta Rune, The Roaring) parallel the Greek creation myth, and the bible's Genesis

the Undertale characters, while present, will not have as large of roles as compared to Deltarune-original characters (this includes Papyrus)

humans, maybe in particular Kris, are related to the Titans (potentially made from the waters of Chaos?)

mirror and reflections theme, through the Dark Fountains, Shadow Crystals, Light/Dark World, Kris, Ralsei and Asriel, etc etc

since we don't have any Asriel sprites to talk about rn, i'm going to talk about someone else that is primarily left handed, and that person is... Susie!

i'm aware that this is likely a "whatever hand works the best for the character's current action", cuz there are also unique sprites where she only uses her right (example: Dark World pointing, and pulling Kris along in Chapter 2)

but she primarily uses her left hand in most sprites, and especially in sprites that require more strength (like throwing someone and swinging her ax!)

"the Vessel is the Roaring Knight" Theory, Supporting Points and Possible Reasons

the Vessel and the Knight use it/its pronouns.

resembling Kris, the Vessel may have it's own knife, and may possibly don a knightly suit of armor in Dark Worlds. the Knight itself has a blade, which appears to be a knife.

the theme of being discarded/abandoned is present with the Vessel (a possible motive to bringing Dark Worlds into physicality).

the Vessel automatically receives the gift of Mind if a new save file is made in Chapter 2. this may suggest it can develop it's own thoughts and motives.

despite being known as the Roaring Knight, it is never explicitly mentioned in the prophecy cinematics. paired with the Vessel's unforseen discarding, the Vessel may have suddenly created the role of Knight, or could have usurped it.

oceans (which is connected to the Titans and The Angel) has a correlation to the Vessel, VIA the survey segment's background. the Knight has a connection to oceans because of the Roaring.

my conclusion & opinion: the dialogue from these two are stating Gaster did in fact fall into "his creation," The CORE. Follower 3 seems to nearly repeat what Follower 1 is saying, and provides nothing that conflicts or disproves what was previously stated

i'd say "experiments" plural is because he was testing, perhaps trying something new. whatever it was, it is still related to the CORE. it's also interestin to see a repetitive nature in the Followers. wonder if that means anything

this tile set used for the Dummy Room in Castle Town is actually from Card Castle, n cuz of that, the color between the room and Castle Town's castle exterior are slightly different

been thinkin about these things. pillars/cliffs descendin into the dark, just t really nail in just how desolate n lonely the Cliffs are. the shading around the base of each visible part of the stone definitely suggests that it's likely empty air. but for fun i've been thinkin: what if they're standin in a sea of whatever this shit is?

it'd be real interestin if that was the case

th "Ralsei is overlooked" thing is one of the biggest parallels he's got with Kris.

he's forgotten unless pointed out, when he's noticed it's always in relation to someone else (cough cough ASRIEL, in-game and OUT. th irony of me comparin him to Kris rn). he's just. treated as "the friend of", and not He Himself, Ralsei. he's there to appease, n loves to give

Kris is (or was) like that too. they're "the sibling of Asriel", n ignored unless they're bein othered for their differences. they give, gullibly so, for attention and most of all acceptance. it doesn't change anything

INTRO:

Susie and Kris fall into the Dark World, cutscene parallels Dela Delon and Ares falling into the underworld

GENERAL THINGS:

Lantern (Seam's seap music) similar to Shop 1 monsters trapped in the Underground, humans and elves trapped in the Underworld Dark World's chat ui resembles Brandish's Undyne is thwarted several times while chasing Frisk. Ares is confronted by Dela Delon (who wants to capture him) several times throughout the zones and is always thwarted by a trap or enemy

RUINS:

Undertale starts in the Underground's Ruins, Brandish starts in the Underworld's Ruins Underground Ruins have traps that drop Frisk to a second layer, Underworld Ruins have pits that drop characters down a layer Toriel wants Frisk to stay with her and warns the rest of the Underground is more dangerous. trapped people want Ares to stay with them and warn the higher layers of the Underworld are more dangerous reading the manual makes Kris dizzy to the point they have to look away. looking at the ancient sculpture (and it's map) makes Ares dizzy enough that he has to look away from it (worded similarly if im remembering correctly)

Waterfall, dark cavernous area full of water and lakes. Cave zone's first layers has large lakes and there are patches of water throughout the zone Undyne is a fish with finned ears monster from Waterfall, Nicksy is a mermaid-like sprite with finned ears

so @cosmicreptile brought up Chaos Theory (known for the term "butterfly effect" iydk) in relation to Jevil. we talked about it for a bit n i realized:

Everyman's butterfly theme is possibly why he is present as a carousal attack in Jevil's fight.

but also, King's song is "Chaos King", and his cloak takes on the shape of a butterfly before flying away at the end of his battle, too.

chaos theory has a ton of potential meaning for Deltarune, but these two are good examples of it's presence in game

wisdom - perfection of theological virtue of charity (?)

understanding - corresponds to virtue of faith "helps one relate all truths to one's supernatural purpose;" (very likely Ralsei)

counsel - perfects cardinal virtue of prudence (Noelle)

fortitude - identified with courage, may encompass endurance. perfection with cardinal virtue of same name (maybe Kris)

knowledge - corresponds to virtue of faith "as far as humanly possible, to see from God's perspective." (Ralsei...? CAN alter player's view)

piety - accords with reverence, perfects virtue of religion, aspects of justice (possibly Ralsei)

fear of the lord - perfection of theological hope (Ralsei? Player?)

emphasis on "plotlines", as it is not just on a technical level, the story itself is going to be complex. people sometimes dismiss the underlying hard-to-swallow themes in Deltarune just a little too easily

so. Undertale and Deltarune. supposedly parallel universes.

in Undertale, the first human is gone. their influence over the Underground is seen everywhere, on everyone, and especially over Asriel. but we only see them once, at the very end of the No Mercy Route.

in Deltarune, the inverse appears to be the case. Asriel is gone, off to college. his influence is seen all across Hometown, on everyone, and his impact over Kris particularly so.

if the general idea remains similar, Asriel may only appear at the end of Deltarune. hopefully, not following only the Weird Route, though.
