if i ever use the word ‘demise’ here please know i am pronouncing it ‘demeeze’ ala quint from jaws

A silly idea: Héctor and Naveen, due to their accents, have difficulty pronouncing Demyx’s name correctly. Naveen calls him Demis (with a hard S) and Héctor calls him Demije (with a hard H because that’s how the X is sometimes used in the Spanish alphabet, like J)

Names Demyx has been called by Hector and Naveen that are not his name:

-Demis

-Demik

-Demiz

-Dmyteri

-Desi

-Mick

-Dem…? (Cue embarrassed smile)

Eventually, he finds a piece of paper and writes it down. “Here, this is my name.”

“Ohh, Demije.”

“No, no, my friend, it is the French X. Demeeks.”

“Or is it Demeez?”

“Oh, it might be that.”

All three give up, and Demyx is either called “Demito” (the Spanish diminutive) or “Demim” (the Maldonian diminutive) for the rest of their time together.

Day 72 - Demeez Mekkan (Homestuck fantroll)

God, I made this guy years back, during the time MSPA forums was in its heyday! He was a little rough around the edges (I half contemplated drawing him in his icy-blue colour still), but he was my first fantroll and I really enjoyed every bit of him! I gave him some slight tweaks here since the original was made in 2011(wait...I made him before Cascade!?), but I still love him as much as I did back then.
