After eight years, this site will no longer be updated due to tumblr’s 2018 terms of service update which bans “inappropriate content.” I just received another notice that a post had been taken down, it’s a photo of a shirtless DeShawn Stevenson getting a tattoo. You can see it here.

I’ve just started working on it and cannot figure out a way to automatically upload the hundreds of tumblr posts to the new site so it’ll be a bit of a slow process at first. There are already a few updates on new players (Bol Bol’s Squidward tattoo!) and a lot more to come.

NBA Tattoos is a mostly-fun hobby and I appreciate that it has been a positive place to talk about something that I care about. I like seeing everyone’s posts but my interaction has been pretty minimal. For the people hit hardest/undermined most directly by tumblr’s decision, this is a much bigger issue. I hate that tumblr has dismantled so many networks where people built support systems, felt less isolated, learned about others and themselves. I can’t begin to imagine the decimation of tumblr sites that has taken place if a shirtless photo of DeShawn Stevenson can be grounds for removal. So it’s a bummer that I have to do this work to move the site but a much more profound and upsetting bummer that so many people no longer have the community they’d spent years building.

看似失敗卻無可挑剔的夏季？歡迎來到Luka Doncic的時代

休賽季長年來「追逐球星，永遠失敗」的經驗讓「不期不待，不受傷害」這段話深深烙印在每個小牛迷的腦海裡。但在歐洲天才 ― Luka Doncic降臨達拉斯之後，這一切或許不再那麼重要了。

很多人都說小牛隊是今年夏天最大的輸家。對，我承認在自由市場剛開市時我也同樣抱持著這樣的想法。但其實靜下心來仔細研究球隊的整體操盤，球團高層的每筆操作似乎也無可挑剔。在談球隊補強之前，我想先談談Doncic、Porzingis以及球隊最欠缺的環節。

在Dirk Nowitzki正式宣布高掛球鞋後，球團與球迷們自然把焦點圍繞在剛獲得最佳新秀殊榮的Luka Doncic身上。年僅20歲的Doncic對比賽有著卓越的理解力，場上每一波細膩的處理球技巧更是讓很多在聯盟打滾10多年的後衛都望洋興嘆，你們可能會覺得這樣形容太過浮誇，但這個球技相當超齡的孩子絕對是多年來難得一見的Unicorn-Type Player。去年賽季小牛隊的比賽幾乎可說是Doncic的個人秀，場均繳出21.2分7.8籃板6.0助攻這種全明星等級的數據讓錯過他的太陽隊與國王隊後悔不已，更別說他30.5%的Usage Rate是NBA歷史裡所有新秀之冠。不過最恐怖的還是，Doncic只會越來越好。

剛邁入20歲的Doncic不管是在身材還是打法上都還有很大的塑造空間。和許多同樣來自歐洲的年輕球員一樣，Doncic在來到美國之前並沒有太精壯的體格，但整個賽季以及夏天他都持續在增加自己的肌肉量，日前也在IG發佈多張肌肉更加結實的照片，不禁讓人開始期待他下個賽季能打出什麼樣的水平。和James Harden一樣，Doncic的身體素質與爆發力以NBA標準來看都不是最頂尖的，但他倆都有相當出色的即停能力以替自己創造出手空間。或許Doncic能嘗試效法Harden，鑽研出更刁鑽的進攻技巧並練就更穩定的投籃手感，如此一來他在進攻端的統治力肯定會更加強大。

當然Doncic並不是球隊唯一的基石。上個賽季球團幾乎送出整套先發陣容與多張首輪籤以換取Kristaps Porzingis。沒有人知道傷停20個月的Porzingis是否能恢復到以往的水平，但以過往的表現來看，他完全補足了球隊所需的外圍投射能力、護框能力與低位單打的威脅。只要Porzingis能滿血回歸並維持身體健康，他和這支新世代的小牛隊絕對就是天作之合。送走Dennis Smith Jr固然可惜，但Doncic和Porzingis這對搭檔看起來確實更加速配，有Porzingis這種延伸型4號幫助Doncic拉開攻擊空間會讓球隊在進攻端有更大的操作彈性。

至於在自由市場開市之前，小牛隊很清楚有三點補強大綱，而這三點分別是「三分投射命中率」、「團隊防守」、「次要組織者」。

Q1 ― 三分投射

先前在這篇文章中我曾提到小牛隊上個賽季三分出手次數為聯盟中第四多，但命中率卻排行第27，主要輪換球員的三分命中率竟然只有Justin Jackson一人超過聯盟平均的命中率。可見三分投射這一環絕對是球隊最需補強的重點。

Q2 ― 團隊防守

主要的問題還是在禁區防守上，在DeAndre Jordan被交易之後，禁區唯一堪用的防守者僅剩Maxi Kleber一人。而一但禁區被對手肆虐，鋒線群就得縮小防守圈來避免情況惡化，但同時對方的射手群就能毫無壓力的下起三分雨。所以說找到能分擔Porzingis與Doncic兩人防守壓力的球員便成了球隊該重視的一環。別忘了小牛勇奪冠軍的那年，Nowitzki身邊可是圍繞了Jason Kidd、DeShawn Stevenson、Shawn Marion、Tyson Chandler四名防守相當具侵略性的副手。

Q3 ― 次要組織者

不要再說什麼球只有一顆之類的話，球隊不可能只靠Doncic一人主導所有進攻。找來一名能撕裂防線、攻擊籃框、偶爾命中三分冷箭的Secondary Playmaker絕對有助於球隊進攻的流暢性。再說這名球員其實也不需要擁有相當強大的單打能力，只需要在無球時找時機空切，其餘時刻主導攻勢讓球流動起來也給Doncic喘口氣的時間，這樣其實就足夠了。

講完大綱之後當然也有細節的部分，而這三個細節則分別是「新成員是否能在無球時同樣給予防守者壓力？」、「新成員是否和球隊走在相同的時間軸上？」、「新成員是否能和Doncic及Porzingis共同打造新的球隊文化？」。

Q4 ― 新成員是否能在無球時同樣給予防守者壓力？

Doncic和Porzingis都是球隊的頭號攻擊手。2017-18賽季，Porzingis在尼克隊的Usage Rate高達31%，而去年賽季Doncic的Usage Rate也高達30.5%，總之球權分配會有很大比例落在他們兩個身上。這時候能否在無球的情況給予球隊幫助就會是有沒有機會上場的關鍵，比如說能解讀對方的防守站位適時空切又或是埋伏於三分線外以拉開攻擊空間等等。

Q5 ― 新成員是否和球隊走在相同的時間軸上？

20歲的Doncic和23歲的Porzingis距離生涯的巔峰期還有好一段路要走，這時候新成員能否和兩個基石一同成長茁壯也是相當需要考慮的一點。舉例來說，Doncic和Porzingis兩人都不曾打進季後賽，在競爭激烈的西區裡他們要脫穎而出的機率可能不會太高，這時候以短約簽下一名有豐富季後賽經驗但將邁入生涯尾聲的老將似乎就不太適合。因此補強的對象以及所簽下的合約長度便是休賽季是否成功的一大關鍵。

Q6 ― 新成員是否能和Doncic及Porzingis共同打造新的球隊文化？

如同前一點所提到的，球團必須謹慎的尋找真正適合這支球隊的球員。目前球隊裡需要的不是將邁入職業生涯尾聲的老將，而是一名正值巔峰、能在休息室裡提振球隊士氣、在場上也願意大聲溝通喊話並奮不顧身的拼盡全力的球員。有這類球員的加盟才能真正讓Doncic及Porzingis快速成長。

A1 ― Seth Curry、Kristaps Porzingis

明顯看的出兩人Catch&Shoot的比重佔了三分出手次數的絕大多數，而且C&S的把握度也高的嚇人。如今大三分時代降臨，在Doncic的穿針引線下這兩名射手絕對能用三分能力射垮對手。再說，如果Tim Hardaway Jr在動完手術後能找回腿部力量以提升投籃穩定度，Justin Jackson、Maxi Kleber、Dwight Powell等人又能將命中率提升3個百分點左右，這隻球隊的三分能力會相當兇猛。

A2 ― Delon Wright、Kristaps Porzingis、Maxi Kleber、Dorian Finney-Smith

(註 : 首先，DIFF%是指在該名球員的對位下，進攻者命中率與平時命中率的差異，所以說DIFF%為負值時代表在該名球員對位下命中率所降低的百分比。另外我標註 --- 的部分則是個人認為比較不具參考價值的地方，畢竟會出現的話都是遭遇Mismatch的時候，被吃掉應該滿正常的吧？)

表格中能明顯看出以上四位皆為水準之上的防守者，主要的重點還是在Porzingis的加盟與Kleber的續約，兩名禁區門神在距離籃框6尺以內的防守竟然足足讓對手命中率下滑了13.6%與9.6%，有他們兩個同時保護著禁區能讓下個賽季的小牛不再被霸凌。而Wright的加盟與Finney-Smith的續約則給了球隊很大的防守彈性，畢竟他倆都算是可以在1~3號位無限換防的活棋。期待明年小牛能在防守端有顯著的進步。

A3 ― Delon Wright、Seth Curry

上面提到球隊所需要的次要組織者必須具備撕裂防線、攻擊籃框、偶爾命中三分冷箭的能力。而Wright幾乎完美符合以上三點，或許他的數據看起來不太起眼，但那是因為他職業生涯裡大都從替補端出發，去年被交易至灰熊後，他在場均30.8分鐘的上場時間能繳出12.2分5.4籃板5.3助攻的優質表現，下個賽季擔任先發的話他會是一名很稱職的Secondary Playmaker。Curry的部分，雖說他的打法偏向得分後衛，但他在執行擋拆進攻的效率其實也高的嚇人，16-17賽季Carlisle教練曾經給予他很多機會組織進攻且效果也不錯。他們兩個和Brunson確實能幫Doncic分擔不少壓力。

A4 ― Delon Wright、Dwight Powell、Maxi Kleber

以上三名球員對於空手走位的意識都相當紮實，另外還有Justin Jackson場均每回合空手切得分在國王與小牛時期分別是1.77分與1.68分，在聯盟中皆勝過98%以上的的球員。總之他們能清楚解讀每一波進攻的情況，再搭配Doncic大海一般的視野，要能在無球的情況下給予對方防守壓力似乎就成了很簡單的事情。再來則是還有Curry與Porzingis的外線火力幫助拉開Doncic的進攻空間，穩定的三分射手同樣能在無球的情況下製造不少麻煩。

A5、A6 ― 所有簽約都恰到好處

以我的觀點來看，能確保Porzingis簽下長約就已經相當成功了。但不只如此，球隊還用相當合理的價格簽下所有適合與Doncic、Porzingis一同成長茁壯的綠葉，不管是Curry(28歲)、Powell(28歲)、Kleber(27歲)、Wright(27歲)、Finney-Smith(26歲)都是將邁入生涯顛峰的綠葉，而所簽下的3、4年合約也相當合理，畢竟Doncic也是3年合約在身。只要磨合恰當，在合作一陣子之後他們絕對能攜手帶領球隊攀上巔峰，即便真的起不了良好的化學作用，他們的合約也能是不錯的交易籌碼，並沒有溢價的情況。再者，以雙向合約簽下Reaves和Cleveland兩名有很出色防守判斷力的年輕球員是非常值得稱許的，這兩個孩子在G-League磨練一陣子後也有機會成為好用的3D後衛。

21年前，一名來自德國的毛頭小孩隻身前往美國追夢，而身上那件背號41號的球衣一穿就是21年，但他終究敵不過歲月的摧殘，選擇卸下身上的戰袍。21年後，一名來自斯洛維尼亞的天才少年就這樣降臨達拉斯，並用優秀的表現告訴前者：「大哥，您好好休息吧，您為小牛隊所付出的心力已經夠多了。這回就讓我接下您的火炬，在達拉斯開創一個嶄新的時代吧。」
