The starter armor for each character in the original campaign was kind of a basic foundation for what armor design would look like for each class. Year 1 armor sets were definitely not all the same of course, but each class’ armor collection generally had a similar aesthetic across the board. Year 2 armor so far hasn’t had any sort of unifying features or overall similarities. Season 2 armor has been pretty bananas. Which would be fine if like 60% of the designs weren’t so strange that they end up being kind of ugly. This is my opinion, of course. Yours may be different. I’m hoping for better-looking and better cohesive designs in season 5. .
