Tango is smarter than people think. He asks questions because he's curious. Not because he's dumb. Sure some things he's kinda dumb on, he's not a GENIUS, like building things and like, computers, but he is smart, he just likes to learn new things!! And he picks things up fast.

Dex notices that rather quickly.

It starts when Tango asks about how the oven works. Dex huffs, asks why he wants to know, and Tango's response is "I'm curious. My brothers never taught me how to fix stuff, they just did it themselves."

Dex sighs because little brothers and such gotta stick together, right? So he teaches Tango. He expects Tango to not remember much of it.

But next time, Tango pokes his head in and says "Dex I think the oven's [broken thing] broke again."

Dex has a biology project that he's struggling with. Whiskey and Foxtrot tell him to ask Tango. He reluctantly does.

His project is finished in two hours as Tango helps him and explains what he doesn't understand.

He decides to start hanging out with Tango more.

He learns Tango is on a scholarship, that he's the middle of 7 kids, and the first to actually go to college. He understands, sort of. He's 1 of 5, albeit the second youngest not the true middle child, and he's first to go to college too.

They bond over it.

Dex still thinks the "Bug Major" is really fucking weird though. Tango just grins when Dex makes a "thats gross" face when he rambles about a new bug.
