Aloy/Vanasha, absolutely.

Though I could definitely see something with Aloy and Varl.

I don’t expect to dip in to the Horizon fandom deeply, because... Well, fandom in general. But I can already expect it won’t be a place I’d enjoy, considering that AO3 says that the most popular set up is Aloy and Erend, which... No thank you. Not at all. And not just because I’ve booked a permanently stay on the good ship Erend/Avad.

*sigh* The overwhelming heterosexuality of the world gets so exhausting...

Yes, the game is indicating that Avad had a thing with Ersa and Erend is attracted to Aloy, but to hell with that. Erend/Avad is how this goes and I’ll hear no other interpretation.

Besides, Aloy is CLEARLY a lesbian anyway.

Because I will always interpret media in the gayest light I can.

I really wish the Matriarchs had gotten a bigger role in the game. It’s not really satisfying enough to see just the glimpses of Lansra’s shittiness or Teersa as a guiding figure for Aloy.

Plus being separated from the Nora for much of the game, outside of optional sidequests, kinda dilutes the tongue lashing Aloy dishes out when she emerges from the mountain and is abruptly dubbed Anointed, after all the years of disdain she’sgotten from the tribe for her crime of birth.

Now at the Blessing/Proving ceremony. Aloy is speaking with the Matriarchs and the Sun-Priest, and being irreverent to the ceremony and religion.

I like Aloy.

Well. That answers how seriously a character like Bast is to be taken.

I hope they don’t want me taking Bast as more threatening than the schoolyard bully he’s come across as so far, cuz having found out his VA is the son of Bob Papenbrook, aka the voice of Rito Revolto on Power Rangers.

So I’m inclined to give him the same respect as Rito. And Rito’s last brain cell called it quits about ten thousand years ago.
