Last night I had a dream about the world ending or something and then in the middle of it I’m in a dentist chair with a man whose face I couldn’t make out. I could sense that I couldn’t trust him or that he was some sort of enemy in the dream as he put me under anesthesia and everything starts to get blurry as I pass out. Then immediately after I wake up again in the dream and he’s still there, as he puts me under anesthesia again, mocking me slightly before gently offering to put his fingers through my hair. It was basically the same scenario only with the surprisingly gentle gesture being offered, as I feel oddly soothed yet weary as I pass out again. He didn’t even put his fingers in my hair, which I was taken aback by in the dream, but it was such a 180 that I’ve been thinking about it all day. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?? Cause it oddly felt so real? Or as real as it could be? No other dream had ever made me physically feel that way, nor emotionally I suppose. I don’t even dream often, and if I do it either lasts a few moments or turns out to be a nightmare. Never have I had a dream that could conflict itself yet provide the most confusing comfort out of a fictional scenario. Dreams are fascinating things, really.
