           waking up in this strange place would never be become unusual, he finds out. ebbing the tiredness from his eyes, the boy sits up from the nuzzle of FEATHERS from torico. comfortable as it may be, he didn’t feel okay with lingering, and already uneasiness was clinging to the edges of his mind.

                      he pushed his way to his feet, small bones giving him momentary disapproval with the movement. his stomach also sounded it’s disagreement- when was the last time he ate? so much has happened, he can’t remember much of the down time. looking to his companion, the boy frowns, making his way from the belly to the head.

                                 ❝torico,❞ he mumbles, reaching up on his toes to pet above the eye.            ❝i’m going to look for food, for both of us. okay?❞

           submerged deep in sleep, he is still. but this will not last, for the boy is plagued by nightmares of the horrors they have been through. of the horrors he has seen. the EXTENT torico puts himself through to protect him.

                                            ( his biggest fear come to life, the other beast turns towards him, eyes pink and dangerous. he doesn’t want to die — )

                      the scream that tears itself from his throat is rough. loud, yet shattering off into smaller ones, hasty as he wakes up. his arms are thrashing, feet kicking him away from whatever he was laying against.

           fear sparked his mind into overdrive, and his face was wet.
