Just watched the new short trailer and I'm actually going insane!!!

I love how cute/youthful Ciel looks with this animation style because, in these small quiet everyday moments, it really helps remind us that he's literally a child having to navigate these insane circumstances. I think previous seasons/animation companies struggled to find the balance for making him look his age while still serious/mature enough for the audience to believe the story.

Anytime they show off Sebastian's fangs, I'm simply crawling up the walls and screaming. I love love loveeee how Cloverworks is animated Sebastian to look more like he does in the later manga chapters. I really just can't wait for the pretty boy facade to drop during THAT moment in this arc.

Hello! I was really interested by your post about SKZ choreo's - But I was curious what in your opinion is worse/less good about their recent choreos? I'm not a dancer and any technical knowledge I have comes from my friend who is a dancer (them: groove! Me:🙂↕️ groove!) So to my eye they're still dynamic and still do the thing I fell in love with them for (having different moves happening at once and moves that involve two or more members together vs everyone doing the same move in a line/formation and not interaction) but If you'd be happy to expand on it, I'd be genuinely interested to know what it is I might not be seeing.

Well it’s all just my opinion of course so if you enjoy it, there’s fr no problem w that. I complain about it because I have a style of dance that I’m biased towards so that also partially explains why I have the opinions that I do about dance.

That being said, a lot of what I don’t like about jjam specifically is how focused the dance moves are on the use of their hands. I like dance to be aware of who its audience is and it’s very clear to me that this dance was created for concert by how it allows members to relax more and use less energy. But even though it has that intent, the use of hands just feels very ineffective to me because when you’re performing for that many people, most art forms have a standard idea of “perform for the back of the room.” For example, like music before microphones existed, people had to really project to be heard over the musicians. Theater performers perform exaggeratedly because they know subtle expression isn’t going to work in that setting.

When you use just your hands for so many moves, especially the chorus, it bothers me because it feels like they’re not being aware that they’re going to have to eventually take this dance to an audience where big shapes and formations and lines are important. Otherwise they’re going to just look like forms that are barely moving. I blame TikTok for a lot of it but also I haven’t been around long enough or know enough of the dance history of kpop to truly say that. I also just #hate tiktok and refuse to acknowledge its existence or significance in how it’s changed kpop. It’s mostly just me wanting to ignore the reality of its impact and how songs and dances are changing to suit its format

So like I said, if you like it, stick w liking it. I just have my own personal gripes w it and dance
