I’ve had a pretty hectic this week - which I’m not gonna get into, but luckily I still had time to meet up with the #DinnerCrew yesterday and lunch with @burajiru. Mr. J-Nobili is going to Washington! Had a goodbye dinner for @jlnoblezada on Saturday night at @auntysramen - Started it off with Cheese Won Tons, then a bowl of the Creamy Corn Broth for my noodles, some food on a stick like my favorite, round onions and a HUGE bowl of Shave Ice with all the goodies for dessert. What looks like a recreation of the Hawaiian Okinawan Center garden in Waipio is actually my favorite of the night - Hanoi Porchetta. The crispy skin actually melted in my mouth, and the greens combined with the vinaigrette evoked an evergreen scent that I welcomed with a grasp and a bite. Honey Glazed Parsnips from @piggysmallshawaii - This would be my first time having parsnips. The only time I've ever heard of that root vegetables was an ingredient for stone soup in the story of that same name. Pretty good - I don't know why but it reminded me of fried bananas in brown sugar off the frying pan. #DinnerCrewEats (at Piggy Smalls)

"Chicken Adobo" Long Toast from @piggysmallshawaii - I liked that the chicken pate was in small bursts so it wouldn't be overwhelming, and that the marinated mushrooms had that vinegary bite that will suffice. I'll never understand why there isn't a plate long enough to fit those things though. It has potential to be a mushroom catapult with one errant move. #DinnerCrewEats (at Piggy Smalls)
