dino had won the championship.

he was the freca champion of 2022.

and not even that could compare to the happiness he felt when y/n kissed him.

just as he came out of his car, he was met with a happy y/n. she jumped into his arms excitedly, wrapping herself around him in bliss.

“you did it! you won!” her voice made him laugh as he secured his arms around her body and spun her around. “if you didn't have the helmet i would kiss you right now!” his heart skipped a beat. would she really? the boy laughed it off as he put her down, squeezing her one last time before letting go of her and going to celebrate with the team. y/n moved to congratulate the rest of the team for a great season as they waited for the podium ceremony.

tears of joy clouded her vision as she saw dino up there, showering himself in champagne with the other two drivers, paul and gabriele. she ignored the butterflies growing inside of her at how handsome he looked with his race suit, showered in champagne and the swedish flag hanging on his back and decided to focus on his blissful face. his smile shined more than a million stars and made her feel things that she shouldn't feel for her best friend.

when he finally came down, he offered her a smirk, opening his arms and walking slowly towards her. “dino, no. you're soaked and champagne is sticky, don't you dare!” she stepped away from him, glaring at him before turning around and running away from him. she turned back to see where he was only to be met with very close proximity. dino hugged her against his body, rubbing the sticky beverage on her. “i hate you” she mumbled, panting thanks to the run. “you don't” he contradicted, smiling at how close they were.

she hugged him back after a few seconds, accepting that she was already soaked. “i'm so proud of you, dino” she whispered against his chest, for only him to hear. the boy separated from her body without unwrapping his arms from her waist, making her look up to him. “i dont have my helmet now, you know” his words made her heart stop and her cheeks go red, remembering what she had said before.

dino smiled as her breath hitched ever so slightly. he didn't break eye contact with her, he wanted to know if she actually meant what she said. “uhm, yeah” her stutter was the cutest thing he had ever heard, but he could see the hesitation in her eyes as she looked down to his lips. “it's okay” he reassured her, smiling as he pulled away. He was pulled back by the girl who surprised him with her lips on his.

y/n didn't know what came over her, if it was her desire to kiss him or the slight disappointment in his eyes when he pulled away from her, but she was kissing her best friend, dino beganovic.

he kissed her back immediately, with his lips curling up at the feeling. this scenario had played on his head a hundred times, but not one of them did justice to how good it would feel to really kiss her.

he declared that day the best day of his life. a championship win and kisses from the girl of his dreams? absolutely unbeatable.
