SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2009. all seemed well, at first. the music was blaring, laughs echoed through the halls, and just about everyone was wearing a smile on their face. but this is a mikaelson party. did they really expect it to go well?

the devil works hard, but KATHERINE PIERCE works harder. she hopes to deliver everything necessary to break the sun and moon curse to KLAUS MIKAELSON, all for her to be able to stop running from him. she wasted no time in acquiring her necessities. first came the vampire. after having CAROLINE FORBES drink her own blood, katherine killed her, making caroline a vampire in transition. caroline needed to feed, of course, so after feeding on a stranger, EVELYN CALVERT became her second meal. caroline left her for dead, darting away from the scene soon after. luckily, JAMES TULIMA had arrived in his hometown of mystic falls a few short hours earlier, after being gone for several years. he found evelyn’s body and was able to get her the aid that she needed.

now comes the werewolf. for her second act, katherine compelled MATT DONOVAN to get TYLER LOCKWOOD to kill him, no matter the cost. matt knew exactly how to achieve this, and soon enough, the two boys were fist fighting in the middle of the party, punches being thrown as though the two of them were lifelong enemies. the two boys were eventually soaked in each other’s blood, but wouldn’t stop. people were surrounding them, trying to pull them off of one another to no avail. the voices of their loved ones were all drowned out, both focused instead on each other. tyler eventually slammed himself and matt into a glass statue in the mansion, shards sent flying across the room. when tyler heard his cousin VALARIA AYALA scream out after being cut by one of the pieces of glass, he finally stopped. matt, however, despite being disoriented and dizzy after the blow, was insistent on fighting, further taunting tyler and trying to hit him.

that’s when ELIJAH MIKAELSON stepped in, sensing that something was off with matt. he pulled him off using his vampire force and asked him why he was doing this, and matt replied that he had to, that tyler had to kill him. elijah didn’t have a chance to further question matt, as he passed out soon after, and tyler followed suit. the two were sent to the mystic falls hospital to be treated for their injuries.

but katherine pierce isn’t the only menace to this town, is she?

the forever young DAMON SALVATORE made a surprise return to mystic falls to stir up a little trouble, but his return is completely unrelated to that of his very former friend LORENZO ST. JOHN. enzo also made an appearance at the party, with nothing on his mind but revenge. . . and doing body shots?

furthermore, despite the fact that the police ordered the party to end and everyone to go home after the events of the night, a select group of people didn’t feel like stopping, so they made their way to the woods and continued on there, bringing along the music and the booze. for one eighteen year old girl, SYDNEY MURE, this would be a fatal mistake. she was incredibly intoxicated and eventually stumbled away from the group of party-goers. this would be the last anyone saw of her alive. only a little while after someone heard screaming, her body was found, drained of blood with bite marks on her neck. she was pronounced dead on the scene and was deemed as another victim of an animal attack.

the death of sydney mure will have a profound effect on the town. she was a high school senior with a 4.5 GPA, getting ready to apply for ivy league schools. she participated in multiple extra curriculars, and when she wasn’t doing so, she was taking care of her elderly parents. she rarely had a chance to have as much fun as she did at rebekah mikaelson’s party.

this npc was killed in order for characters in the group to be able to form connections to the character if they wish to, which offers a great chance for character development. we encourage everyone to look at the list below and see if any of the connections could work for their character(s) and sydney. should you want to fill in a connection, send us an im on the main or message one of us on dis.cor.d and we’ll fill it in as we go! if you think of a connection that isn’t listed here and could work for your character(s) and sydney, let us know and we’ll add it!

it is now SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH. everyone is dealing with the aftermath of the party, whether that be sleeping in until 1 pm because of their hangovers or spending the day visiting a friend or family member in the hospital. members are free to move forward in the rp timeline as freely as they wish to. below are some upcoming events that are important to keep in mind.

SEPTEMBER 25. the 150th founder’s ball will be held at the lockwood mansion. everyone’s characters will be able to attend.

SEPTEMBER 29. the sexy suds car wash fundraiser will be held by the mystic falls high school cheerleading team.

OCTOBER 4. full moon.

and that concludes our very first event ! feel free to continue any threads that you feel are important to your character(s), but please tag the thread as some sort of variation of “past” so that everyone knows that the thread is no longer taking place in present time. we want to thank you all for your activity, participation, and dedication to not just the event, but the group as well !
