Looking for Musicians!

We’ve noticed on occasion people have shown interest in being musicians for the show, and we’re in need of them now because it’s a lot of hard work for our current musicians and they just don’t have the time/passion any more to work on this alone.

This honestly might be the last episode we can produce because most of us on the team have been dealing with a lot of life stuff and can’t really make this project a priority focus any more, and it’s unfair to keep trying to push for something that’s just going to feel like an obligation.

so if you want to be a musician keep in mind that it might only be for this one episode. There’s a small chance we’ll do the next one, but it’s very small so don’t go in expecting this is a long term thing. (we say this with a very heavy heart)

If you are interested in being a musician, please send an email to discordjive@gmail.com titled “DWNA Musician”, and attach some samples of what you can do. Please only submit an application if you have the time to spare to work on the music ASAP, we want to get this episode out sooner than later.

Looking for Artists!

It’s been a while and we’re getting closer to completing the episode, and we’d like to get some more official artists on board!

If you’re interested in being an artist you have a couple options.

1- You join our discord but you must agree to not give away any spoilers

2- You stick to email and we’ll send you a selection of scene images to choose from

If you’re interested simply email discordjive@gmail.com with art samples attached, you can draw the DWnA characters or some pony works you’ve already drawn. We are looking for artists who can provide quality colored images. By quality we don’t mean art skill, but rather it needs to be visible and able to tell what is going on, so no bad photos with pencil and smudges everywhere.

Even if you don’t get accepted as an artist, you are all still welcome to submit fan art for the episodes.

Could any of us be able to help you guys I the future ? If things became more delayed like as a apprentice kind of thing ?

We’re in desperate need of SFX people and musicians but those positions are so easily lost for whatever reason, be it art block or just life getting in the way.

My main issue is if I really sit down and work on SFX I can get multiple scenes done in a day, but it’s very time consuming and other people take much longer to do it than me, plus we need people with experience because sound quality is important.

If people are interested they are welcome to contact me at discordjive@gmail.com but please have samples, I don’t want to just blindly take on SFX people without knowing if they can tackle the job or not.

Movie editors could also help for just putting together the art with the audio but I’m able to do that too, along with a few other members of the crew.

Still adopting spare characters for My Magic Grandpa!

Just giving a friendly reminder that if anyone has any characters/creatures they don’t have any use for and want to see them go somewhere, you are welcome to donate them for My Magic Grandpa to appear as characters in the comic.

Keep in mind you’ll be giving me full rights to the design, so only do this if you really have nothing you want to do with the character.

NOTE: I am in severe need of male characters, decent humanoid male adoptables are like finding a needle in a haystack

Added Note: I’m looking for character designs more specifically with images, I mean I MIGHT be able to use an idea for a character but I’d really rather work a new character from a base to make it more my own. 

The reason I’m asking for this is because I have SO MANY character ideas but I don’t have all the time in the world to spare to design them all from scratch.

Looking for humanoid characters and creatures/monsters that need a home

NOTE: I can’t do anything with anthro characters or sparkle-dog esque characters. This is a modern day earth setting where mythology is real but long forgotten, only recently coming back to the surface. Mainly I need humans and creatures that could pass of as ghosts/demons/mythological creatures/angels/gods/spirits/fairies/etc.

Okay so since I’m focusing so much on ‘My Magic Grandpa’ and converting a lot of ponies to humans, I suppose I’ll make this post here.

I’m trying to gather up characters and creatures for the comic, as it’s going to be an episodic style story with multiple stories putting together the whole, which means a lot of characters are going to be needed.

So if anyone has any characters they haven’t had a use for and want to give them a new home where they can be used for a big project, submit them to me or my gmail, discordjive@gmail.com

NOTE: This means you are giving the character away, not that I’ll be featuring your OCs in my comic, you must be willing to allow the character to whatever fate I choose for it. You may submit names and info of certain characters as a base but I may change some aspects.

Open Auditions: Looking for female VA to play major character!

So the original voice actor for the character has given up the role, being unable to find time to actually sit down to record it.

That means we’re going to need another VA to play her.

Deadline: November 25th @ 6:00 pm PST

Requirements:

-This is a HUGE role, she is in nearly EVERY scene of the episode so please be aware of this before you audition. Can’t handle a big role? Don’t audition for one.

-Quality microphone. We typically want Blue Snowball at minimum.

-Save your recording as MP3 or WAV only please. These are the only formats we can work with in the editing program we have. Failure to do so will disqualify your audition.

-Please record in a quiet area. No TVs or other loud noises in the background. We need to know you have an environment you can record in without issue.

-Include your preferred name/username in the filename. IE: NAME_Audition.mp3

-Be prepared to join a discord server should you be chosen. If you don’t have discord, consider installing it for the project.

-DON’T EDIT YOUR AUDIO! We need to know what we have to work with, so don’t remove noise or master the vocals. Cutting out unwanted audio is fine but beyond that please don’t alter your recording.

THE CHARACTER:

June is generally a kind pony, but with the pony she’s partnered up with she can’t help but have a shorter fuse. She acts as the one with heart and compassion, keeping her partner in check. She scolds often, but it’s only out of the need to help him be a better pony.

Episode 12 Casting Call!

Auditions are open for episode 12!

We are currently looking for 2 female characters and a male character. The male is a teenage boy, so he can potentially be voiced by a female VA as well.
