Seeing the 90s anime version of moominpappa's adventures suddenly makes so many fanfiction details make sense.
#chit chat#but there are so many things that they adapted strangely and...hm#joxter#for example#seems to have much less personality in the cartoon#and it's because most of his lines were given to muddler or mymble#do the folks who haven't read the book even know that joxter is the best at engine repair of the four of them???#and hodgkins seems suuuper different#and i wasn't expecting that voice for mud--ahem. FUDDLER. at all#but it's pretty funny and it did grow on me#i will however completely be ignoring the cartoon version of them#and continue with using almost exclusively the book characterizations#which is why all my fics are canon calvinball#because i take whichever bits of canon i like and mush them together#the woodies are moominvalley 2019 snufkin snorkmaiden and moomin is moomins 90s and moominpappa's gen is books#and there's like 3 people left in this fandom so y'all r just gonna have to deal with it i guess
