This was my favorite piece- of an NPC the players never got to meet! Their name is Wretched <3

Wretched was an urban legend amongst the changeling community as “the changeling of a thousand keepers” who basically got tossed around between the gentry until they managed to escape, but they’re like. Wonky. Under the bundle of rags they wear.

So I made a homebrew Changeling the Lost campaign last year and it was fucking detailed as shit. My master document had over 80 pages and my PowerPoint of CUSTOM HANDMADE NPCs was over 100 slides.

In honor of its anniversary, I’ll be posting my art, memes, and other goodies from it. Maybe one day I’ll adapt my notes into a proper guidebook and campaign guide!

Here’s the concept for one of the huntsmen, “Herald of Lunatics” but shortened to Harold. His weapon of choice is a mysterious form of audio equipment and the wires coming out of it!

He got his ass whooped in the Microsoft campus toilets after he tried to lure one of the party into the Hedge.

He’s been defeated about three times, but keeps coming back since it’s his 9-5 to kidnap the lawyer in the party.

This was a little beastie I made as my demon-sona, which became the guidelines for Wretched’s design: albeit Creech is far more comedic and silly-looking

One of my friends’ sona is a demon lord. So I thought I’d make one that’s a little scrumbly imp <3

All of these were made in Freeform and MSPaint, as you probably can tell.

Here some memes. My dming style is very, very driven by my autism. I MUST know everything about everything of my setting. I spent weeks researching local folklore, historical shifts, and carefully crafting npcs to get the flavor just right.

I have several pages on just the history of the Freeholds (changelings communities) but my largest section is likely just the hedgespaces and trod descriptions. If I ever release a revised version of my dm’s notes as a campaign guide for CTL set in the Seattle Area, I’ll make sure to include all my sources for folklore, local or otherwise!
