We have to stop naming our metalcore bands this way, it's boring, it's confusing, it's completely unremarkable and I WILL ignore your band for longer than I should because I'll assume you're a different band I don't care about. Please. Please. I'm begging. Please.

#yes i know counterparts is an aof reference #also Periphery did this way early and are at least partially to blame for the trend #i think part of the issue too re Northlane and Erra and those guys that aren't Plural Nouns is #the visual aesthetic of a lot of the album art is extremely similar #doesn't help with standing out amongst the overcrowded djent progressive metalcore whatever scene
