right, so for context on the first drawing: i thought it would be nifty if the imperfects had their own little secret hangout space, away from the prying, judgemental eyes. i suppose similar to the movie, ox would've made it as a sanctuary for those to go to feel safe and loved. thanks ox, very cool :D

i was trying out the greyscale to colour technique on these two, and i like what colours came out of it... still dunno how to do backgrounds tho lol

today marks 1 year since i watched uglydolls out of pure curiosity... ever since then ive been stuck in doll purgatory. how lovely... hahaha... ha...

ANYWAYS i redrew my first fanart of the film. these three were my favourites upon my first watching (they still are tbh but i have a few more faves upon rewatches...).

i've seen two names for the green-eyed back up singer so idk he has a double barrelled name now yipee

50s au tuesday... because why not... she was probably caught by kitty or smth when writing that. then she got teased the hell out of.

she is basically the same in this au (so like, super lovestruck and a silly). i love her very much <3

alsooo random tuesday headcanon, but i always imagined every time lou invites the spy girls to hang out with him, tuesday thinks that she is on date with lou, completely forgetting that lydia and kitty are there as well. she is in her own little fantasy world when she's with lou.

so she's like "aw lou, isn't this romantic?" whilst holding his arm like a couple would, and kitty yells from behind "we're going to fucking mcdonalds tuesday, wym?".

back at it with the 50s AU. it started off as "oh haha what if uglydolls was set in the 50s?? haha yeah"... but i didn't think about details. so! i've tried making some ideas. none of these are set in stone tho

sorry if you can't read the text uh. I'll leave it down here:

From Left to right, going downwards -

Institute 12 (strives to create perfect members of society)(so far has succeeded. Anyone who graduates here is guaranteed success in whatever path they may take. If you're expelled however, it could ruin your reputation (seen as bad by the Institute = seen as bad by everyone).

Lou: The student president and the all-round 'Golden Boy' of the Institute. However, behind his impeccable façade is a deep hatred of Institute 12. He is tired of the perfectionist bullcrap

Lou naturally has wavy hair, but nowadays he straightens it.

Ox and Lou used to be friends. Neither of them will mention it, though

Ox, Nolan, Mandy and Moxy: The 'Imperfects'. They somehow made their way into the Institute by pure accident. Lou becomes their tutor, of sorts.

Lou has been stuck in the Institute for a few years, as he had no reason to leave (everything was already there for him (food, popularity, a place to stay, etc etc)). ...Also because he was instructed to remain or otherwise he'd be expelled. But upon meeting the Imperfects, he grows curious of life outside the walls of Institute 12, and decides to sneak out.

...Eventually Lou befriends the Imperfects, but feels like he needs to hide this friendship due to his reputation.

Lou: "Look, I know you're not used to this whole 'perfection' thing. But if you just conform than I can ensure you'll be a lot better off."
