Aside from it being morally questionable, Dominik had gotten to know Jey rather well from working with him on storylines, he knew that the scowl he showed the world was the opposite of how he was the second the curtains were closed.

For starters, he was soft spoken, shy. His laughter wasn't larger than life, the way one would assume, but airy and wholly consuming all the same.

Jey was also incredibly tactile, more often than not the man would find some way to drape himself over Dom whenever they'd be working over their latest scripts.

None of his friends knew this, of course. They didn't know he and Jey hung out to the point of being physically affectionate. They only knew the two spent time working together. 

They didn't have a clue that Jey was someone who was pliable, easily manipulated when he trusted you, something everyone saw Roman take advantage of, yet thought nothing of.

On more than one occasion, Jey had merely taken Dom's word for things he wasn't sure about, citing that he trusted the younger enough to forgo extra research.

They thought he was brash, distrustful and closer to his on screen persona than he truly was. It was what Jey seemed to prefer.

He couldn't voice this, out of respect for Jey, of course.
