General reminders:

CCs are welcome to interact but also can and should filter this if they choose to do so (you are in our house and you enter at your own risk; we are operating as though you are not there).

We'd also prefer if nobody brings this up directly to CCs. If they find it on their own that's fine, but consider it just a fun little easter egg type situation, an inside joke? No snitches.

Voting should be done not on the basis of popularity or who you like more, but who you most feel fits the qualifications for a Tumblr and/or MCYTblr sexyman (we know this won't stop some mashups from being a total stomp, but it helps make the data a little more accurate).

lovable scamp with an intimidating dark side that he only shows at the most dramatic moments

fiendish evil laugh and a really good spooky voice that scares his servermates

has the most fanart in the Dominion SMP tag here on tumblr and is also the one discussed the most in the unofficial dominionblr discord

would kill it in a suit. and also has already been drawn as sans, komaeda, and the onceler

DOMINION SMP SEXYMAN BRACKET: FINALS

We all knew this was coming. They made it onto the wider MCYT bracket for a reason, after all -- but who really wins this one? Everyone's favorite not-so-friendly specter or the piglin capitalist himself?

Also, this one's getting maintagged. It's finals, after all!

KNOW YOUR CANDIDATES:

Legundo

Origin: Piglin

A natural leader sent to the overworld by his people in order to attempt to take it over by any means necessary. Heard “by any means” and decided on capitalism over brute force, though he’s not above murder if that gets him a little further.

Rival to like half the people on the server and somehow still in almost everyone’s good books despite this. Fix built him a desert for his new casino. He’s going to call it Mas Vegas.

Constantly shaking in the overworld due to oxygen poisoning and not, contrary to popular belief, barely contained fear and/or rage.

Viking

Origin: Phantom

An amnesiac ghost who was in the world before anyone else, but unable to interact with them or the world in any meaningful way… until the dragon was killed, that is.

Extremely cheerful, even when he really, really shouldn’t be. Loves making new friends. Loves jumpscaring people. Loves letting out an evil giggle on occasion and thinks it’s kind of funny when people are freaked out by it. His ass is not a reliable narrator.

Is not doing so great, mentally. Has murderous urges that he usually doesn’t give into and has evil monologue urges that he often gives into. Supposedly a weird book did this to him. Supposedly if he opens the weird book again he may literally split in half.

DOMINION SMP SEXYMAN BRACKET: QUALIFIER 2

Both are characters who have had ripple effects on the plot of the series at a whole, both are morally questionable at times/at best, and both... wait, one of these people has never been on Dominion. And the other one's an NPC. Welp, that's why this is a qualifier round -- will the person who's never set foot on the server prevail, or is the only non-main character taking home a spot on the chart?

the Oracle

Origin: N/A (is an NPC, and also is the living manifestation of someone's extreme magical prowess)

Accidentally stole someone's body and is technically still running around with it. A mythical entity with little to no hint on what morality they follow, nor what they are capable of (outside being able to watch almost every place in space and time, making them the closest thing Dominion has to a god).

Cursed Fixxitt into becoming a genie for stealing diamonds from an exorcism, and told Nukeri to jump into the Void in order to find his friends (technically the latter one did work out, it just took him four months to wake up again).

Was voiced by Scott SMajor once

Forge Labs

Origin: N/A (is, and I cannot stress this enough, not on Dominion)

Has some extremely cursed skins. This is the most normal one that was relevant. He seems to enjoy being a burger, I guess?

Owner/organizer of the Scenario SMPs, and a serial backstabber and constant chaos inducer during gameplay. Seems to enjoy targeting Legundo in particular, but pretty much nobody is safe from his tendency towards evildoing.

Rumor has it that originally the blood moon was supposed to be Forge's fault, but due to scheduling issues this never happened. I can't remember where I heard this from, though, so it's really just a rumor.

ok listen i dont have the energy tonight to draw propaganda but. please. look at all my vikingposting today. look at my bell noises! tag. i know bdubs is way more popular but if we could get a W for viking that would make my life. bdubs may be the scrunkly chewtoy but viking has been threatened as a tumblr sexyman long before this bracket came into existence.

the thing about this poll is it gives us an opportunity to discover creators we've never heard of before and learn about characters we've never seen before, and i am taking this opportunity whole-heartedly to cheer for the character that got me fully invested in mcyt again and, in a way, got me to connect with new friends and start coming out of my shell in public a little bit more.

They were both there for a little while, and now they currently aren't! They might be back someday, which would certainly twist the plot in interesting directions! But enough about that -- who will make it into the bracket proper, and who will vanish once more? Vote now on your phones!

Brock

Origin: Slime

Was on Dominion for one episode at the very beginning before he vanished under mysterious circumstances (aka, his hardcore series got very popular and he decided to focus on that). Currently only remembered by Nukerii, and his house is full of cobwebs.

Is either wearing a tie that matches his skin tone perfectly, or has both the suit and undershirt unbuttoned.

Felt distrusted by many of the other Dominion members as they kept joking they could "see right through him" (due to the slight transparency on his skin). Dislikes stairs.

Loony

Origin: Spider

Has no Dominion episodes, but is the likely identity of the mysterious sniper/End resident during the dragon fight; this puts him at having been on the server for around 20 minutes by best estimate.

Is wearing a spider hoodie! Aw :)

Shot arrows from afar at people during the dragon fight and also seems to have covered the End in cobwebs and dug out a small home under the island proper. Known generally as being good at PvP.

DOMINION SMP SEXYMAN BRACKET: ROUND 1, MATCH 7

Girl formerly possessed by the Void and guy who is made of butter. Yeah. Sure. This seems like a fair match.

Jamie

Origin: Dragonborn

Elected queen of the server early into Season 1, and almost immediately implements a tax of "give me all your diamonds, yes all of them, all your diamond gear also, and do it every two weeks while you're at it."

Tried to stop everyone from killing the Ender Dragon, failed, exploded, and Came Back Wrong (aka, possessed by the Void). Able to do a really creepy voice filter whenever she wants and starts sacrificing animals to the Void during this time, as well as continuing to hoard diamonds.

Eventually exorcised via the combined effort of all Dominion members. Except she doesn't remember being evil. And then the apocalypse happens, she explodes again, and now she's a resident of the Outer End with no memory of anything that happened in the entire series. So that went great.

Sneve

Origin: Blazeborn

His character name is canonically Barry the Buttery Blazeborn. Everyone just calls him Sneve anyway. Despite being immune to fire he kind of wants to blow up the sun. Very shitposty video style.

Undoubtedly holds the record for "person that has to be reminded that Dominion is family friendly the most times." Quite possibly worse than other unrelated CCs at this in terms of toeing the line.

Can sneeze fire as of Season 2, and also has a glorious mustache in place of his perpetual :D face. His voice sounds exactly like how you would expect someone named Sneve to sound.

Grady

Origin: Enderian

Blacksmith whose civilization was pushed out of the end as a result of shulkers taking over the end cities (unclear if this was a war or an invasive species situation). Immediately starts beef with the local dragonborn and then somehow ends up her right-hand man once she's elected queen of the server.

As of Season 2, runs evil OSHA the HOA of Dominion, which is called POOPA and stands for something I do not remember. Is extremely particular and harsh on anything that violates POOPA guidelines. Constantly threatening to write people up. Also has received a command from maybe the moon to build a giant all-seeing-eye bridge, which is a super normal thing to do. Really cool. Really normal.

Memelord tendencies tempered only by his ability to keep a straight face. Voted canonically most likely to make an "I hardly knew 'er" joke. Ran a tavern that managed to serve chicken nuggets exactly once before the apocalypse happened.

Shadow

Origin: Witherborn

Hitman for hire and probably one of the best PvPers on the server, able to hold his own in a 2v1 vs Jamie and Grady at one point. Worked as an enforcer for the crown but could very much still be bought if you know what you're doing.

Struggled a lot with his urges towards chaos. Likes explosions but is technically not a Witherborn by birth and very much had to deal with the fallout of those two sides warring. Has a consistent soft spot for Sneve.

Is currently on a silent, murderous rampage through Season 2 that has only been tempered by the fact that he's taking a break IRL. Only logs in during blood moons, doesn't speak to anyone, and attacks pretty much everyone that gets close. He did give Joy some armor and play Pigstep for Viking, though.

DOMINION SMP SEXYMAN BRACKET: ROUND 1, MATCH 4

We're pitting Scenario SMP people against each other right off the bat because it's funny. It's the King in the North vs the King in the South! Or, alternately, just some guy and just some guy, because this is Dominion.

Ryan

Origin: Iron Golem

No episodes yet, but appeared during a very eventful livestream! Also has the fastest known turn-around from appearance to fanart (under 45 minutes, because the fandom was challenged and took up the challenge).

Protector of a desert village who may or may not be extremely rusty in more ways than one. Doesn't have a lot of other characterization but, if we're going by what's been seen of him in other SMPs, is way smarter than he looks.

Every time someone draws a human version of Ryan you are adding to his sexyman cred in the same way someone drawing anyone else that is just a Shape would be.

Origin: Piglin
