Sunset

I’ve been in the mood to draw a sunset scene for a while, and I had this piece lying half-baked for over a month now… as a bonus, if you take a close look at Shinichi’s hand you will spot a wedding band, so – Married!ShinShi (you’re welcome, shippers LOL)

And considering tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, you may think of this as my contribution to the date^^

Olso, this is my first drawing of 2021 as well, may you all have a betterHappy New Year! :D

This is my first Secret Santa EVER! And this set is my gift for “Wish” (@wishmoonlion)^^

The only thing I kind of struggled with was the time I had to work on your gift...This past 2 months have been brutal for me - still, I wanted to give it my all and did not just 1 but 6 drawings!

I wanted to do your zombie apocalypse prompt but given how perfectionist I am it would’ve taken me a year to have it done xD Instead, I went with the Frozen AU as I am quite familiar with the movie and only one scene popped into my head to try and squeeze these two in it! I really hope you enjoy it :D Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

I suppose anyone will be able to tell which scene I chose, but it comes with a twist:

So, Shiho (as the snow Queen) tells the prince he’s wasting his time and should let her locked up because she has no way of stoping the deadly winter. To her astonishment, Shinichi isn’t convinced and assures her that she can, in fact, do something about it and that he wholeheartedly believes in her.

Would you choose me?

"His face falls. "Oi, I thought we were having a moment! That's it, you deserve to walk in the rain—" He mockingly makes a motion to pull the umbrella away, and she yelps as the furious rain splashes on her black uniform shoes. Her arms instinctively wrap around his bended elbow to keep him from pulling away.

"H-Hey!" Shiho complains, a death grip on his arm, "Watch out! Are you serious!?"

He hovers over, making it hard for her to breathe, "Are you?" ”

Oh, and I hope I captured the ‘deer in the headlights’ look on Shiho’s face because I love that expression on her.

God only knows when I’ll draw my next piece, but thank you Momo for giving me a direction! It put me into gear and I managed to get this done! And thanks for writing such entertaining story :D It’s rain-themed so it escalated quickly into one of my top favorites from you. Most of them are, though lol

Live Action Mirror

Though, I don’t believe Shiho to know how to play piano, I drew her that way for the sake of mirroring of the two pictures. On the picture of the right, japanese actors Yuu Kashii and Shun Oguri, who portrayed Shiho and Shinichi,  respectively, in the 2nd DC live-action drama special: “Shinichi Kudo Returns! Confrontation with the Black Organization“

  Prompt 1: Touch

He takes her hand im his when her eyes open, careful and slowly. The faint throbing of her cheek reminds her of one of two stab woulds she’s taken the day prior.

"You scared me half to death, Miyano.”

And his words of the bullet she took with his name on it.

The warmth of his touch fighting an uneven battle with the cold and numbness in her whole body makes Shiho smile (and blush), despite of herself. And it could be the morphine still lingering in her system but as Shinichi intertwines their fingers, a skip of her heart beat declares the winner.

Prompt 5: Hero

Not gonna lie, this one’s my favorite from all 7 prompts, mainly because it references one of my top favorite episodes from the anime of all time (do I even have to say which one it is?)

Following the guidelines of the previous one, this is a similar, yet different, what-if. Again, Shinichi doesn’t take the APTX4869, but Shiho does upon discovering Akemi’s murder…her course of action is pretty much the same as in the canon. She takes the drug, thinking it will kill her - she shrinks and escapes instead, looking for Kudo Shinichi, whom this time she does comes across with…Imagine everything that comes after as Detective Conan but Shinichi is the main detective, and traitor-in-hiding, Haibara Ai, is his special client.

She goes back briefly to her adult form, when she’s shot by Gin while Shinichi goes to her rescue. She’s adamant, though, on him remaining unknown to the BO so they can't go after Shinichi because of his involvement with her…he ultimately manages to do exactly that and save her in the process.

Oh, and the kiss?

That’s the hero’s reward.

Prompt 2: Gift

“It’s been a year already! Your birthday has to have happened at one point, come on.” He says almost frustrated, if it wasn’t for his underlying teasing-slash-hopeful gift.

Shinichi’s painfully aware of Shiho’s love for animals and though a puppy or teddy bear would’ve been a safe choice, the shark was not only more original, but it was like giving her a detective of the sea (which he associated himself with).

The reluctant expression on her face goes well with her reply, “Thanks, you shouldn’t have.”

Shiho can’t decide whether he’s taunting her because of that sunstroke she suffered so long ago at the beach, or not – Seriously, he gets to remember the most unnecessary things sometimes…–, but the fact that he actually got her something (even if it wasn’t her birthday right now), was a nice gesture.      

Has anyone ever thought how amusing it is that both of them compare themselves to sharks (for different reasons, though)? But neither really knows what they signified to the other. So unbeknownst to her, Shinichi actually gave her a plush that remotely resembles him as a gift. A complete dork as always lol

Fun fact - Sharks are some of Haibara’s VA, Megumi Hayashibara’s, favorite animals…what a coincidence!  

This was the prompted I worked on last and I had lots of trouble to get it done but I can’t complain ^^u Hope you all like it and my lacking attempt at writing a small drabble for it as I did with the previous one.

Bedtime

Done with all 7 entries for this year’s CoAi week, I can continue with my regular drawing. And as promised, my first piece after the long hiatus! Shinichi and Shiho asleep together.

Prompt 4: Hurt

It wasn’t just the prompt, it really hurt to draw this! It’s supposed to be a flashback, hence the sepia-ish color.

As I find Akemi’s death as one of the saddest moments in all of DC. Shinichi and Shiho (specially) tent to be struck by emotional pain, more often than the physical kind.

This is like a what-if thing. Shinichi never shrunk and continues to solve cases going on to getting involved in the One Billion Yen Robbery case (having become Masami/Akemi’s acquaintance way before that). Her death is the moment of Shinichi and Shiho’s first meeting and, for the time being, the worst day of their lives...

Alternative tittle, “Quarantined”

Not 100% sure if I got this prompt right^^u But I started drawing this right after the quarantine started over where I live. So, I thought: so much time social distancing with another person sure gives you enough time to bond with them. And I’ve already drawn them playing board games and reading, so this time they’re watching tv (I owe you all the tv lol) while doing something they both enjoy; drinking coffee!

No matter the phase of quarantine you’re going through, nor the country you live in. Stay safe, people. And take care of your loved ones by taking care of yourselves! ^^

Prompt 7: Alternative Universe

Thank God for AUs! Or should I say, the Gods?

Because this is the last prompt (and one of my favorites to draw) I decided to make it special and drew my aged-up version of these two^^

Meet Shinichi as Odysseus, the sagacious hero, and Shiho as the sorceress Circe, one of her epithets is “polypharmakos”, meaning: ‘given to the usage of drugs’. Seriously, I could draw parallels between these two set of characters all day long.

Uncharted 1: Chapter 22

A set for the “Uncharted AU collection”. Portraying the finale of the first game Drake’s Fortune, and look! Agasa’s here, as Victor “goddamn” Sullivan.

I plan on doing some more drawings for the other games as well, but all in good time. I’m drew and painted nonstop for two weeks so I’ll need to recharge batteries.

While Coai Secret Santa approaches I’m working on a comeback (sort of?)…but it’s been soooo loooong since I last drew something that I'm indecisive not to mention, a bit out of shape ^^u.

This wip here is side A of a 2 sides drawings. It’s fairly a modest (simple) drawing, compared to my last piece, but I can’t help thinking that I’ve already kept whatever few ShinShi shippers still remaining out there, waiting long enough.

So, I ask you – if you’re following this blog – to help me decide: Should I post just side A once I finish it…and then eventually post side B. Or, do you think you still have enough tolerance towards my lack of posting and can wait a little longer for me to post both pieces side by side?

Your response is most appreciated, thank YOU! I’ll give this post a week to see if anyone replies.

Take Cover

“I promised I would protect you.”

“Well, we’re both armed so…same to you, Meitantei-san.”

Wouldn’t it be nice to see these two back in their original bodies, facing off against the BO once and for all?

I was watching DC Movie 20 and got inspired to make this. Also thought it’d be a good time to play with a dark setting and I’m happy with the end result, thank goodness.  And I used a new paintbrush for the concrete wall Shinichi and Shiho are hiding behind – also satisfied with it. 😁

Btw, I want to thank in advance all that like and re-blog my art, and especially all of you who’ve been doing it since the beginning^^ It means a lot and makes the depravation of sleep it takes to make them worth it XD

And an important shout out to both @dc-partners and @momocicerone because more often than not they’re the ones responsible for spreading my work with more speed than could achieve on my own. I’m eternally grateful, you guys! 🤗 🤗
