WAIT I HAVE TO ASK THIS

Do you spend so much time using English on social media you forget how to speak your first language? Like you don't remember half of the words??? (Please tell me I'm not the only one and I'm not stupid, please)

To a degree? yea, honestly, i feel like i don’t remember nearly as many words as i should. Even though daily i spend a majority of the day speaking my native language i still sometimes fumble for the right words or construct my sentences in a really awkward/stilted way. it’s also really hard to translate from english because like, i know what the word means, i can explain it to you, but to find an equivalent for it in my language off the top of my head is…unbelievably hard. Sometimes it really does feel like i’ve forgotten half of it
