Evelien felt horrible as she thought she had actually hurt him. They had always been so rough during sex and dragging her nails down his back just happened. When he told her to do it again, she was taken back just for a moment before she smiled. Evelien softly rubbed his back soothingly. She rolled her hips up, both giving them satisfaction. Her fingers dig into his skin at his shoulders before she pulled them long down his back. “Like that?”

shen xinghui and qiu noah have been meeting through the years, yes, but neither actually looking into each of their personal lives— it isn't their problem

so one day, when SXH arrives at the flower shop with a new job in hand, he's taken aback on seeing a young girl, around nine or so, manning the shop.

she looked like a spitting image of QN, down to the wavy brown hair, but there was one difference: her eyes were dark, as black as can be.

it was QN's daughter, with the human he'd fallen for years ago.

“You had a... child...?” “Well, yeah.” “You...” pure confusion. A rare instance of SXH not knowing what to do or say.

QN just shrugs.

i don't regret you nor do i regret leaving you. we simply are concurrent lines meant to meet at one point in time, and say goodbye to each other for a lifetime. but i think it's alright to admit things.

the messages, the smiles, the calls, the promises the plans, the photos, the games, the forevers, the ends that fizzled out like fireworks that never happened. i miss it all. i miss you.

maybe i shouldn't have. maybe i should have waited. two, three days— a week, a month. i should have waited.

but in that one instant i held a match in my hand and i burned everything down. picked at my skin and tore at my hair, left myself in pieces in grief of your leaving.

yet still i don't cry.

you're the lump in my throat that wouldn't disappear, the stone in my heart that wouldn't let me breathe.
