Assuming by some miracle you could convince him to go in the first place, what would Severus do at a water park? Or is there any other uncharacteristic place you would like to send him?

so I'm imagining it's summer. hottest day of the year. it's like, 90 (fahrenheit, sorry for my American crimes) and humid (England). this is also post me moving in with sev.

so fun fact: sev owns a house. he inherited it from his parents, and it's by no means a fancy house. it's in kind of a run down low income area kind of deal. it's old, and dated, and falling apart (in like a normal house way - occasional leaks, peeling paint, that kind of thing). no AC, poor air flow. it's stifling. I prefer cooler weather. I'm whining and complaining. "it's soooo hot, I'm sweating :(((". sev eventually relents.

hottest day of the year. summer. waterpark is packed with families.

first thing sev does? Instantly goes and claims one of those plastic recliner seats they have there. sits down, pulls out a book, starts reading. I try to goad him into going with me on a water slide, but he refuses. says he has to keep an eye on the bag where we're hiding our wands, so no muggle finds it. I'm like... okay 🙄 but maybe eventually convince him to go on like... one or two. I'm not a big waterslide person either, but we are at a Water Park. might as well.

I spend most of my time in the lazy river. no inflatable, just letting the current push me along and pretending like I'm a turtle getting pushed by the current in the ocean. convincing sev to do this with me is easier than the waterslide one but I still think he gets tired after a bit and leaves me to continue getting carried along in a circle.

afterwards we are both tired and a little sunburnt and spend the next three days barely leaving the house to recuperate from our Big Outing. we also smell like chlorine for about a week. I gain like 5 new freckles.

Unrelated but not extremely so, re: other uncharacteristic places to send him, I do like the idea of like going to disneyland with him one day :>
