YOU CAN DRAW!! Kids love sticks, right?!  Then they can draw! Sticks in all shapes and sizes are freely available everywhere and can become simply a line going for a walk! Create dots dashes, magical marks, make play spaces, tell stories, awaken earthy sounds dragging in the dirt…doodles, bumps, lines that connect and come alive. Too many times I hear adults, and kids around 5 years + hung up about drawing. A big stick takes away the preciousness of getting it right- no eraser, no precision just moving it, in flow with geometric and organic shapes, wherever you feel like taking it.  And you can run all over it too, adding your feet to the patterns emerging. Tiny or big adventures. Alone or with a friend, in the woods, garden or playground- UP TO YOU, no rules. And then you just lay it back down, ready for the next person to pick it up and see where their lines and marks can take them.
