"Drei vom Varietè"  ("Three from the Variety") (1954)

Artist Alexis Wagner (Erich Schellow) is looking for a new partner for his trapeze act. He choses beautiful but shy Janine Latour (Ingrid Andree), who has previously assisted her guardian with his dog dressage. The talented young woman quickly becomes a good artist. Serious Alexis and  introverted Janine fall in love and get married. Alexis has no idea, his partner Renato torments Janine with his intrusiveness. Nor does Alexis know that his wife is traumatized by a manslaughter committed by her father and of which Janine was an involuntary witness then.
