#jamespick is one of his hands-down favorites: the first acquirable modern map of Europe, by Sebastian Munster. The cataloguing of this map is usually pretty sloppy, as the states have not yet been fully catalogued. That changes, now. This is a first block example (of two, not counting the 1588 map after Ortelius.)
