called artie because of his initials “RT” and everyone thought his name was artie and literally nobody corrected them and artie thinks they’re all calling him RT and it’s a whole mess and everyone’s confused and nobody talks about it bc they’re all thinking their own shit about it while thinking everyone’s on the same page.

affiliated with the mage renegades and working with soira hajjar’s unit.

born and raised in jaiport,   home of the underworld,   all things black market,   and crime worse than crime even for the barren land.     parents were both a rare type of noxir with connections to the divine spirits,   though others would typically categorize them as paraiture due to their vast differences from typical noxir.    their magic is focused mostly in energy and this depends on person to person.     they are able to channel,   invite,   and reject forces of all kinds no matter their residency.     in artie’s case,   his parents were exorcists.    not in the sense of priests and demons,   but in anything that needed removal  :  magic,   memories,   abilities,   souls,   spirits,   parasites,   anything that can inhabit a vessel.     this was just one particular use of their abilities,   but they can typically sense entities and it causes heightened senses to one of the main five,   which also depends on the person.     artie’s came with heightened sense of hearing,   which grew to be extremely overbearing as it could distort his sense of reality and sanity,   so he learned to control and tolerate it,   especially with noise - cancelling headphones   ( I KNOW I KNOW ).

artie became quite adept with his exorcism skills after following his parents around his entire life and witnessing every ritual and started doing his own when he was fourteen.    nobody took him seriously at first but he quickly became well renowned for it.    specifically for his unorthodox manners,,,,,,,,,,,,,, he’s quite weird about it.    tends to have an unserious vibe about him like he’s about to make a joke at any point.    sporting a smirk,   like he’s hiding a laugh or just amused.    otherwise he’s mostly dead in the face.

a clown tbh.     he’s skilled with physical combat just due to the nature of growing up in jaiport and needing to defend himself.    has a neat little shift that looks like nothing that can grow into anything he wants for a weapon with energy  :  sword,  knife,  baton,  etc.

made friends with a cute lil wise owl named xinyek from the quelled forest and later found out he had been hunted by innox.    this is honestly what made him join the renegades.    he’s mad about it.

has a very light air to him but it’s hard not to feel like he isn’t judging you at all times.    he just has the worst   ( or best ? )   poker face.    comes off as flirty but not really.    honestly a mixed bag of unserious.

imagine all those characters u ever hated and put them together. thats the feeling winona should invoke in you

born in rugau,   aka parkour region,   so she’s lived a fairly difficult life just in terms of everyday being a match with death.     because of this,   she has a fairly pessimistic and pragmatic outlook on life,   viewing everyone and everything as a mean to an end,   even herself.     very lawful evil meets chaotic evil but liek.................. in the worst way.     something she thinks she’s an empty shell of a person and that is partly what angers her.

raised with anti - magic ideology,   but she is actually indifferent to noxir in terms of the ongoing clash.    she’s only anti - noxir because she believes them to be the losing side of a war,   and she’ll side with anything that’s considered the winner,   aka innox.     she’s innox herself,   and was involved politically for most of her life because of her parents having ties with the court.

joined the curators and quickly rose through the ranks as one of their best performing members.     is good at keeping up the facade that the curators are Peaceful but you will always get a nasty vibe from her and she will be the one to suggest violence as the answer whenever she can,   and will carry them out herself.

there’s genuinely nothing about her that like Caused her to be such an ugly person,   she just is.    just very unnecessarily cruel.

okay some brain rot for a pirate oc that i've been talking about for months but never getting her down. so this post is me manifesting writing her finally:

fc: nadia hilker

the name is signy frona vogel and she literally picks up each part of her name throughout the years

her origin story is she's part of a village that's raided by a pretty vile, rogue pirate crew (named the red mark). she's part of my droyi coire lore so she's from a very small town in the nation of strehburg, which overlooks the mended sea and is bordered by the quelled forest

a pirate crew raids the town likely after something was done to wrong them, and most of the village ends up dead or running off. signy, whose name at the time had been ola, was kidnapped by one of the crew members

the original plan had been to sell her or use her as ransom, anything to generate money. but the rogue pirate crews ship gets attacked by another crew (the saber's tooth) at sea

this crew, the largest group of pirates in droyi coire, tend to keep the other crews at bay. animosity had grown between the two crews for a while so when the first ship is attacked, ola gets taken in by the second

for a while they dont know what to do with her and she doesn't speak for a long period of time so one of the mapmaker of the crew name her himself

they call her signy and she grows up a cabin girl for most of her life

it's only later on that they realize she's an excellent navigator and put her to work

signy names herself, she picks up names from towns they stop at and people she talks to and takes a liking to

when she's 18 the largest war breaks out on the crimson sea and she eventually loses most of her crew members including her captain

they make do with the remaining of their members and over the years she begins recruiting more and more into her new crew

before she realizes she's taken on the sole of the captain of the ship and none of them seem to mind giving her the title

so she takes on the helm of captain signy and renames them the silver tide

she's a good captain to her crew and fiercely protective after all that she's seen. but when meeting her at a calm moment she's witty, charming and insanely cunning. the type of girl with a glint in her eyes and a smile that could weasel your wallet out from under your nose
