A headcanon and an accompanying snippet from a thing I'm working on

The Headcanon: Scrooge has The Most Fucked Sleep Schedule In Recorded History.

The snippet:

Mrs. Beakley was just finishing up her nightly cleaning of the manor. She always did the family room last, and tonight, even though it was well after midnight, she could still hear video-game noises coming from the room. "Are the children still playing that game?" she asked herself, making a mental note to have a word with Della about not letting her children stay up all night again. However, the voice she heard didn't belong to any of the kids. And it wasn't Donald or Della either. "Aha! Take that, ye wee blaggarts!" "What on earth…?" Beakley was confused. No. There was no way. It couldn't have been… She opened the door and entered almost silently.

There, sitting cross-legged on the floor, a tartan blanket around his shoulders, his top hat slightly crooked, his pince-nez spectacles gleaming with the reflection from the TV, and an unrivalled fire in his eyes, was- "Mr McDuck?" There came the sound of an explosion from the TV, coupled with the evil laughter of a very pixellated villain. "BAH! What the blazes are ye doin' here, Beakley?!" Scrooge snapped, turning around as the words "You Died" flashed on the screen; he had been this close to besting Captain Cuckoo before the housekeeper barged in unannounced and distracted him. For a moment, Beakley's rote-learned response of "I'm finishing off my nightly cleaning, sir" vanished from her consciousness completely, and she just stood there in abject confusion. "Sir…" Beakley began slowly, not sure what to make of this, "Are you aware that it's twenty minutes past midnight?" "I'm trying to beat Della's record," Scrooge told her, "I've been going since half past six, and I intend to go on till morning!"

There it was. The moment of shocked silence, before their faces turned to stone, and Scrooge felt the ground fall out from under him. "Hortense, you should go to your room," Downey said, and the girl scurried off to be with her sister.

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no," he kept repeating to himself over and over. What could he do? Where could he go? Goldie. No, he reminded himself, he couldn't tell Goldie - knowing her, she'd rat him out to the sheriff without a second thought. But he couldn't just leave her. He fumbled in his bag and found a quill, some paper, and a half-empty bottle of ink. "Goldie," he wrote, "if you're reading this, I'm gone. Something unexpected has happened, and I've had to leave town. I'm so sorry. I hope we meet again. All my love, Scrooge." He signed his name with a flourish at the end, before tip-toeing into Goldie's room and placing the letter gently on her nightstand.

Headcanon about Gyro: He lives off coffee, Red Bull and spite. When he does eventually sleep, he does so at his desk, in the lab, and wakes up with all manner of pain cause sleeping at a desk is NOT good for your bones

Fenton bought him a weighted blanket, and set up a little bed/quiet sensory area in the corner of the lab. Even though Gyro was reluctant at first ("It's not conducive to a professional environment!") he eventually caved and let him do it.

There are also now glowy stars on the ceiling, at Gyro's request.
