dustDealer AU plot

created as a joke but frick it make it edgy

so basically, I was just on Wattpad the other day, and I thought a bit too hard about stuff like THIS from the official Undertale Alarm Clock website:

there was also this bit from the Fangamer stream on Undertale’s 6th anniversary:

obviously, this refers to the Holiday family from Deltarune, with Rudy/Rudolph even being mentioned by name, while the antlered girl clearly refers to Noelle (her big sis is likely Dess). 

So, Noelle exists in Undertale’s universe.

...and I’m pretty sure that at this point we all know about the Weird Route/Snowgrave Route from Chapter 2 (an alternate route from the normal game that can be taken once Noelle joins Kris in the City, where you make her use IceShock to defeat all enemies possible while also making very specific, creepy choices outside of battle. There’s more to it than that but then we’d be here forever so just look it up I guess).

Where Noelle gets strong enough with her ice magic to use the spell SnowGrave after being equipped with the Thorn Ring (halving the TP cost of all ice spells, making SnowGrave actually accessible [it’s normally 200% people, literally unreachable, but with the ring it’s 100%, so you can use it once you fill the bar all the way up), giving you the first time you can actually KILL someone in Deltarune (normally enemies run away, get knocked out of the battlefield, or are non-lethally frozen).

...

So, if Noelle exists in Undertale, shouldn’t she exist in the AUs, from an in-universe perspective?

Could she still use the SnowGrave spell?

Undertale doesn’t have TP, so would she be able to us either without the Thorn Ring?

And that led to me making a joke that I eventually turned into this AU (the title is a reference to the joke rearrangement of Deltarune’s title, nutDealer, btw): 

Noelle in Dusttale uses SnowGrave to kill Sans before he can kill her, and then kills the human when they come around (originally made as a stupid joke you can find on my blog under the dustDealer tag, or the Dusttale tag since it has that and the original post I made about this idea in the first place).

And after that, I don’t know, she probably finds a way to travel the multiverse somehow (if any Sans can do it then why not her?) and just wanders for the rest of her days, still very shaken up about what had happened to her, and still carrying a bit of a grudge against Sans for taking away everyone she cared about, so she probably immediately has an aversion to just about any vaguely Sans-shaped skeletons... so that’ll probably create problems given how this fandom is like 99% Sans.

She’s not a crazed serial killer now though so that’s good. She was just backed up against a wall and felt she had no choice but to give it all she had.

(also Frisk ragequit so that’s why they didn’t come back again. wasn’t expecting the deer girl to rise up and seemingly be impossible to defeat since she got them on the first frickin’ turn of battle)

I’ll probably write more about this eventually, but for now this is the basic plot. Hope you guys enjoy this idea.

dustDealer AU: Story

I finally finished what the story of the AU is and gave the title some meaning beyond just a joke!

here’s it summarized (I think), probably kinda poorly:

so since this is an AU of Dusttale (which itself is an AU of Undertale), Sans murdered the entire frickin’ underground, but this time around he done goofed one part and someone managed to spread the news in time that at least one person thought to hide: Noelle Holiday (here’s my other post explaining who Noelle is/why she’s here)

She found a place to hide. the others chose to fight back, however, but that... didn’t exactly work out. 

So, she was the only one left, and finally, with her friends and family all dead, knowing that she couldn’t just hide there forever (she’d eventually have to leave for food), and unable to bare the pressure... came out and confronted him.

Sans was going to kill her like the others, but Noelle, fueled by grief and panic, well...

Let’s just say that it was certainly unexpected...

So yeah uh no one’s living through that. No time to react or dodge, it’s literally labeled “FATAL”

it’s a one-hit kill and TP isn't a thing in Undertale so what’s there to say she couldn’t use it?

no amount of bone man BS could save Sans there.

so yeah uh Sans is dead-

Noelle felt a bit of relief at having avenged her loved ones and defeated the serial killer, but was left isolated with nothing but her own survivor’s guilt to accompany her until the human came along.

And it’s safe to say that the human didn’t last long either, she took them down instantly, and it was obvious that there was no getting past that...

so, with the human having seemingly given up and the timeline having taken a direction it simply wasn't meant to take...

the world broke.

so basically Noelle was left to chill (haha pun-) in the void and the world kinda ceased to be. she was alone and cold and had no food or anything. and whenever she tried to sleep she had nightmares because she was obviously kinda traumatized by everything that just happened to her, so she just stopped trying to sleep (though since she was really tired and there wasn’t anything to do, she definitely fell asleep from time to time and it... wasn’t pleasant) 

she thought she was going to die there alone. she prayed and prayed for someone to come and save her... but nobody came.

until one day when a certain someone decided to try again...

  (ok here’s the part where I try to kinda incorporate something heavily implied in Deltarune)

the soul came back

they came back

the p̴͚̭̪̄͒̿l̴͖͆̈́͗͘͝a̴̹͗̒ȳ̸̮̙͕̎e̵͕̩͎̯̎͝͠r̶̻̊̐̔

a being not too different from the creators who brought worlds to life

they had the power to bring back the world now that Noelle wasn’t going to fight

they could reset it back to the way it was supposed to be and get what they had come there for (getting their butt kicked by a bone man)

they could’ve just reset Noelle along with the world

but it wasn’t as if a heart would have no heart. they took pity on the poor girl, just a bit of pity...

enough to give her the option to leave and never come back.

Noelle took the deal. she couldn’t bear the idea of watching her loved ones die again, regardless of whether or not she’d remember what had happened

so, they gave her the power to travel universes. again, it wasn’t as if the p̴͚̭̪̄͒̿l̴͖͆̈́͗͘͝a̴̹͗̒ȳ̸̮̙͕̎e̵͕̩͎̯̎͝͠r̶̻̊̐̔ was all too different from the creators. they were ultimately the same type of being.

they were perfectly able to give her the ability to leave.

and so, she left, carrying with her the knowledge that all her suffering...

she had to go through it because of this god-like being’s desire for entertainment 

(yeah they were just like “I came here to get thrashed by Sans, this wasn’t how the story was supposed to go” or something and Noelle has to just deal with knowing that she and her loved ones were made to die)

so after that she probably ended up getting lost around a bunch of different universes and stuff and probably ended up witnessing not just the ones where Sans is an edgy killer... but also the ones where Sans is an edgy killer, AND we’re supposed to feel bad for HIM.

like, you see a lot of these in stuff like Wattpad fanfics where all the murderer Sanses are given the sad boi treatment with little to no acknowledgement to their innocent victims. and anyone who opposes them, even for completely understandable reasons, are villainized, and then the murderous bone men just insult the other bone men who don’t want them to kill people and stuff and call them jerks and whatnot.

she probably had to see a lot of them given the fact that I, the creator of this AU, am an active Wattpad user who came up with the idea on Wattpad in the form of a joke...

so yeah wherever she is now she probably hates the multiverse for the most part. seeing all the Sanses, including some that are other versions of the specific one who had ruined her life...

whether she ended up panic-killing someone or not... uh, probably. she’s not a serial killer or anything, she doesn’t take pleasure in it, but she will do what she needs to protect herself, or at least feel safe.

though she was also just really afraid of Sans and anyone remotely Sans-shaped after that and she’d definitely go into fight-or-flight mode.

but she can’t go back now, the universe reset without her, probably replaced her.

a deal was a deal. she wasn’t allowed to go back anyway.

she was an outcode now, she no longer belonged, and she could never return home.

she’d never have a real home again.

and it was all Sans’s fault.

so recently I thought since the Undertale Alarm Clock dialogue confirms that the Holiday family from Deltarune exist in Undertale, it makes you wonder: from an in-universe perspective, would they exist in Undertale AUs?

which led me to wonder what would happen if Noelle had gained access to the Thorn Ring and such in one of those edgy Sans-murderer AUs and just put an end to all the problems right there

...and this led to me making this comment about Dusttale on a Wattpad book:

I now dub myself the creator of dustDealer, where Noelle SnowGraves Sans and then deals with the homicidal human child and is probably now roaming the multiverse somewhere, being gay and doing crimes.
