There's probably no one to read this cause Duy Beni fandom is practically nonexistent here. Whatever, I'll read it myself tomorrow 🙈😂

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I loved that they made a parallel swimming pool scene, only this time it was Ateş who pulled Ekim out of the water. And the first thing Ateş asked Ekim was "Are you okay?", just like Kanat at the end of episode 3. And the way they resurfaced was almost identical to the way Ekim and Kanat did in their second pool scene. It's also super telling that back in episode 3 Kanat almost didn't hesitate when he jumped in after Ekim. He gave her like 3 seconds to come to the surface. And now, knowing damn well that she cannot swim, this dumb piece of shit decided to wait, talk some sense into her, pull off his jacket...🤦

There were so many other things that were absolutely meh. The episode that was so promising turned out underwhelming and the ending was a *ucking nightmare. It ruined not only the episode but the whole show going forward. Making Kanat father a god knows whose child is the last nail in this *ucker's coffin. Even if it turns out that he's not a father, he was among the possible candidates, along with the others. There were like... 4 other guys who got the note. But if Kanat has nothing to do with this then why the hell did he react to the note and came to school? And something tells me that the mother is Ece. I think that's her big secret that Melisa threatened her with.

All in all what the writer achieved with this episode was make Kanat even more despicable. I cannot even look at him without wanting to throw up. Ateş is already wasted as a character. They made him look lame compared to Kanat but it would have been so much more interesting if Kanat had had nothing on Ateş. And Ekim... Well, I don't know where the real Ekim from the early episodes is but this doormat is sure as hell isn't her. And the way Ekim's connection and friendship to Emine was brushed off was one of the most infuriating things. Ekim should be the one most traumatized by what happened to Emine. She was *ucking standing a few steps away from her. And if they showed us a scene with Emine in a hospital bed, I don't think it would've been so hard to include Ekim in it.

Okay... Have I forgotten something? I think that's pretty much it. The rant is over.

Like I understand she’s upset … but Bekir clearly has his own coping mechanisms … it’s sick to speak to him that way

Some Duy Beni episode 14 thoughts:

📌 it was less underwhelming than episode 13 but still pretty average and predictable;

📌 we live in such a rapidly changing world but some things never change - Ekim and Kanat screentime together, for example. They got their 10 minutes, like clockwork;

📌 I did quite enjoy Ekim and Kanat interactions though. Especially them arguing like an old married couple in Kanat's car;

📌 the ending scene was predictable, unnecessary and stupid but it was so satisfying to see Kanat's face as he was walking away. All I could think about was: "That's karma, bitch". He deserved it. And I think it hurt all the more because it wasn't Ekim's intention to cause Kanat pain, just like with the recording. Both in that situation and in this episode she made horribly stupid choices but they were both made from the place of love;

📌 the pregnancy plot was basically resolved in the trailers, I don't understand why they wasted so much time on it in the episode;

📌 Ateş is officially lame and the actor cannot act🤦

📌 Hazal's father keeps being shady and I feel that he's gonna cause Neşe and Ekim some serious problems.

What do you think of the new fragman for Duy Beni? Based off of the reaction on twitter, fans are excited, me included.

It was a good fragman, definitely worth the wait. I'm not getting very excited though. Cause the second episode 13 fragman also looked super promising and what we got in the episode was... well, anticlimactic to say the least. It will be great if I end up being pleasantly surprised but as of now, I'm keeping my expectations low.

P.S. That kiss was so damn hot though 🥵 Why not use all this heat and chemistry between your leads? I swear, it's a crime.

Thoughts while watching Duy Beni episode 2:

1. Maybe I missed it but why is Ayse dad so adamant on stopping her education? Or is it just the school? Either way it’s very upsetting 🥲 it’s sick that he is stopping her from getting a world renowned eduction

2. That scene with Kanat-Aziz with their parents was so well executed. The opera music really helped emphasize the tension + the fear they have for their father/husband.

3. Loved the detail of Kanat playing with his bracelet when being questioned.

4. The father is absolutely SICK. I can’t imagine having to choose between my mother and brother. I’m literally crying

5. That parallel between Melisa + her dad vs Kanat-Aziz + their dad 🥲

6. Ayse and Daghan are so cute! I ship 🚢

7. I enjoy Bekirs character. He toys with the bullies … no matter how much they try and he always has them shook

8. That scene of Kanat bullying Bekir was his dads words playing out … ‘others will pay for your mistakes’ - now bekir is being attacked bc of ekim.

9. Personally I think Ekim is doing too much for Leyla 🥴🥴 actually Leyla aside … she’s is doing to much in general. Breathe. You don’t have to be a flawless savior for everyone.

Or maybe I don’t find her mission sincere since the writers didn’t do a good job setting up their friendship

11. That scene where Aziz k word the bug was so creepy yet such a powerful scene. We got an insight into his mental state

30. The friendships are so badly written and so is the chemistry between that group. The mean group has better chemistry and Ayse + Bekir also have better chemistry with the mean group

31. What did the father do??? So mels mum is alive or what? I think the reason she’s so obsessed with Kanat is bc she doesn’t want a repeat of her parents marriage. She is mad at her dad for not fighting for her mum, so she’s fighting for Kanat despite not being into him. She doesn’t want to fail at this

Also, the actor who plays Bekir is too good. You could sense his fear towards Ozan and his need to protect asye and ekim.
