The SECOND time he's been questioned on his relationship with Klaus and Jackie. What was this? A damn interrogation? This time he goes completely quiet. His jaw visibly tenses and his stance grows more awkward and CLOSED off.

" I'd marry Jon, " Kai mutters almost unintelligibly. She knew what she was doing bringing up his best friend like that. He also knew that wasn't going to be the end of him hearing about it tonight now that they've pried that little fact out of him. " Kill Klaus and fuck Jackie again. "

The closeness between them is becoming intoxicating. Cersei knows all too well that her magic does not work on Originals, and yet she finds herself wishing in this very moment that it did. Whether or not she herself would tell the truth is another story, but she is longing to hear it from Rebekah. Even if in the end, it stings.

She smiles, fingers applying a bit more pressure to Rebekah's hips as the other speaks into her ear. If this is going to be the game they play now, then so be it. Though Cersei had been faintly hoping for a different one. "You know I enjoy very little," she comments, while one of her hands moves to gently hold Rebekah's cheek. "And we both know that you're damned no matter what you choose."

Even if it hurts, it's the truth.

"If you want answers, come see me." She knows Rebekah does, that she'll come. If finding her now is any indicator, at least. After a much too long glance in Rebekah's eyes, Cersei lets her go and steps back, gaze averted for a moment or two. "I'll send you an invitation." She pauses, and can't help herself from her eyes washing down the vampire's body. "Wear something like this."

After that, Cersei exits the bar.

Rebekah blows out a serious huff, a little disappointed in the reality of this situation. Why can't Cersei just keep her pretty lips shut so they can just be? Hell, Rebekah may even feed the succubus tonight if the situation was right but every word from Cersei's beautiful mouth confirms how serious this matter actually is. She's here for information, not fun. 

Goody for Rebekah.

Rebekah's eyes snap up to find cerseis, emerald green and glowing even in the low light of the bar. Deadly. She pulls Cersei a little closer to her, leaning in to whisper along the succubus' ear “I adore it here Cersei. This is my home, my family. The question is, do you enjoy it here? Are you planning to stick around or do you plan to convince me to run away with you again? I think we've seen what happens when I choose you.”

A spray of bright red SPLATTERS across his face as soon as he dares step close enough to Rebekah. Thankfully his eyes squeeze shut before any droplets manage to get in them. There's a moment of neither of them speaking followed by a long exhale before he opens them again, dark slits that burn with a SILENT rage. " That wasn't very ladylike of you. " Kai counters dryly with a botched attempt at MOCKING her accent. He rubs his shirt sleeve over his face to wipe the evidence of what was previously Rebekah's drink away.

" You can throw a fucking tantrum as much as you want, but I'm not going anywhere. Your brother wants me to stick around. " Kai didn't exactly want to stick around and act as some sort of guard dog or whatever Klaus had in mind. He was a newly-turned hybrid, with all the POWER and strength he could've ever desired or dreamt of. However, each time Kai considered leaving, he was pulled right back in. An uncontrollable sense of loyalty and duty that only further AGITATED him the more he thought about it.

There's a slow BLINK and a slight raise of his eyebrows, as if the choices were perfectly clear to everyone else without him having to play along with this stupid game. " You're kidding me, right? " Kai lets out a breath of annoyance and crosses his arms DEFENSIVELY.

" Kill Klaus, you know why. Fuck you, been there done that, know what to expect from you and it's sexy. And I guess that leaves me with marrying Rebekah, because at least she seems a little more fucking reasonable than you two. "

VERSE: HER LOYALTY KNOWS NO BOUNDS.

main plot points:

klaus's fc for this verse is JACOB ANDERSON. alwysndforever's esther (angela bassett) is my klaus's canon esther for this verse.

upon gaining the knowledge that there is a human doppelganger alive, klaus begins looking for werewolves to turn to hybrids after he breaks the curse. the first he finds is jackie matlin (insanislupus), a werewolf that hadn't been triggered for too long and was desperate for an end to the cycle. klaus offered her an out in the form of turning into a hybrid, and all she had to do in exchange was remain loyal to him and do his bidding.

as in normal klaus fashion, he begins sleeping with jackie and learns more about her as time goes on. he consistently tests her loyalty to him, whether it be sending her off to get things for him, to spy for him, or threatening to kill her just to see how she reacts. it is not a wholesome relationship.

klaus eventually decides that jackie is worthy of his trust, and sends her to mystic falls to keep an eye on the doppelganger for him and make sure nothing happens to her until klaus needs her. in that time, jackie pretends to be elena's friend but also garners a very twisted form of affection and care for elena as well.

when the time comes for klaus to break the hybrid curse, jackie reveals her involvement with klaus that very night. she is there through the whole thing and isn't expecting elijah's betrayal, but is there when klaus turns for the first time in a thousand years.

when klaus and jackie leave with stefan to find more wolves and after klaus gives stefan's memories back to him, he begins sleeping with stefan as well as jackie. the situation is incredibly complicated considering jackie's history with elena, and elena nearly asking jackie to be with both her and stefan.

klaus makes it very clear that jackie is not to be turned until they figure out why the other wolves can't complete the transition. this puts a strain on their relationship, as jackie wanted to be the first hybrid he turned as well as her being impatient to be free of the full moon curse. klaus says it's because he values jackie's loyalty and can't afford to lose her because of it, but in truth it's because he cares about her more than he is willing to admit.

when they get back to mystic falls and figure out that the issue is doppelganger blood, jackie is turned directly after tyler. klaus notices the sirebond in jackie well before anyone notices it in tyler, he simply says nothing about it. their relationship becomes far more intense because of it, and both of them fully attribute it to the sirebond, when in reality it's more than that.

klaus sends jackie to extract elena's blood as much and as often as possible, because he knows elena would never let him do it himself. during one of those times, elena and jackie sleep together. the reasoning for this is extremely convoluted and complicated, but essentially it boils down to jackie feeling left without as much attention as she used to get from klaus (the feeling intensified from the sirebond) because of everything going on, as well as both jackie and elena never getting to explore their unresolved feelings for each other before jackie betrayed her. klaus is irritated with this, but not angry about it, mostly because it bodes an advantage for him. (it should be because he'd be a hypocrite because of what happened with stefan, but he will never ever recognize that)

regarding hayley & hope, klaus still sleeps with hayley and gets her pregnant even though he's in a fairly serious relationship with jackie. he is just not a good guy, y'all. he's a rat. he is a bad boyfriend. will that stop jackie from being obsessed with him? absolutely not.

the rest of the timeline isn't as detailed, as we tend to write within season 3 of tvd or the originals, but most canon events are still canon. if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

there are two subverses off of this verse as well, one that involves @hiveruled's tvdu verse and one where jackie kills and turns elena at the end of S3 when she believes klaus is dead, and elena ends up sired to jackie instead of damon.

There isn't much that Cersei does nowadays that could be considered fun, unless she's counting what she does when she feeds. But even then, it's serving a purpose. It isn't solely for fun, and that's something that she's been missing out on for centuries really. Ever since she left Rebekah.

"Your home, is it?" She comments as she's dragged to the center of the room, with her eyes glued to Rebekah's backside until their bodies are pressed together. "Interesting that you lot are finally settling down in a place that doesn't want you." It's not meant as a jab, really; it's the truth. New Orleans has been resisting the Originals ever since they showed up again, but they're nothing if not relentlessly stubborn about it.

"Do you agree?" Cersei asks, after a short while of her hands attempting to find a place to rest on Rebekah's body. She's resisting the rather strong urge to touch her everywhere, and settles for her hips. "That this is your home? Do you enjoy it here? Enough to stay?"

Rebekah can’t help but be a little giddy inside at her win. She’s always loved to pull Cersei out of her serious shell and just have fun, even if it never lasts more than a few hours before she’s right back to her aloof demeanor. Rebekah knows this is technically only business still, but she’s only so strong and she needs to have a little fun right now. She's feeling far too many emotions for her liking and Cersei looks more like fun with every second she stares at the succubus. In fact, she knows cersei is a lot of fun ... when she wants to be.

Rebekah smirks at Cersei as their hands connect and says “Don’t worry about my dear brother. I can handle him, contrary to belief.  Keep in mind Cersei, this is our city and we always know what’s transpiring in our home.”

With that, the bubbly vampire spins around and drags Cersei behind her making sure to sway her ass to the beat just a little as they reach the center of the dance floor. She turns to Cersei with a sultry look and wraps her arms around the succubus’ neck, pulling the two closer together. Rebekah feels her body spark to life again for the first time in far too long and can't help but give into the music and the bliss of her body against Cersei’s. 

Rebekah craves this. She needs this. She knows this is a serious matter and she’s not here to have fun but she truly can’t help it. Cersei is one of her greatest weaknesses, and it's impossible not to indulge.

There's a hint of a smile pulling at Cersei's lips as she listens to Rebekah play her coy little game. It's truly something Cersei has missed about her, and something that vastly differs from the person she looks like. Rebekah isn't shy by any means, but she loves playing games with both her food and her partners almost as much as Cersei does herself. It's a reason they clicked so well when they met.

"You do enjoy making me jealous, don't you?" Cersei counters, even though she knows that Rebekah is doing it very much on purpose, and won't follow through. She hopes, at least. At the offered hand, Cersei takes a pause and looks her over as she sips the wine in her hand. It couldn't hurt her case to indulge Rebekah's whims, could it?

"Fine," she says, and sets down her drink to stand up, brushing off her dress and taking Rebekah's hand in her own. "But it's on you if your brother finds out and throws a tantrum." Even if he does, it wouldn't ruffle Cersei's feathers in the slightest. She loves pissing him off.

Rebekah glances down at the succubus’ hand on her knee and she falters for only a millisecond, hopefully far too quick for Cersei to notice. The vampire has to get her emotions under control or all of this will be for nothing and all she will be left with is an open wound and no intel for nik. The last thing she needs right now is one of his temper tantrums. 

“I don't know…” Rebekah traces the rim of her drink with her finger slowly, “ I think I may stay for a few drinks, I could use a little fun. I think I'm going to find someone to occupy my time” She smirks over her drink a little as she starts to scout out her own next meal very dramatically.

Rebekah slides off her stool far slower than necessary for a creature of her speed and holds out her hand to Cersei in an offering. “You look like fun” she smirks and continues, “Would you like to dance with me Cersei, for old time's sake?”
