His family's status allowed Roondo into one of the finest academies within the kingdom. It was there that the young dwarf gained a love of knowledge, adventure and discovery. After graduating from the academy, Roondo approached his parents with intentions of leaving home to go adventuring and exploring. Expecting to be chastised by his parents for not following the military life, Roondo instead received acceptance, as his father explained that they have always fought for a world of peace, so that their children did not have to. Over time, Roondo brought together his own adventuring party, dubbed "Roondo's Raiders". He captains his own skyship, the Soaring Gold which serves as the Raiders' mobile base of operations. For a time, Roondo and his crew worked for the interests of Defiance and lent aid to the war against Lord Enfis. But following the destruction of Defiance and their subsequent merging into the Melcharian Holy Empire, Roondo's Raiders struck out as their own independent group. Roondos favored weapon is the pickaxe, a tool he uses for both utility and combat. On top of being an adept melee fighter, he is well versed in geology, archaeology, exploration, and a bit of thievery. Years of adventuring and treasure hunting have also honed Roondo's roguish talents. He carries a number of tools within his many belt pouches for crafting clever solutions to tricky situations. When all else fails, his trusty flintlock pistol is always close at hand. "Never leave anyone behind." is his motto.
