The Naughty Bus Experience
What is it?
The Naughty Bus is a fantastic story by Jan and Jerry Oke that I was introduced to last year. If you get a chance to check this book out I highly recommend you to do so, it is an awesome and engaging story which opens many possibilities for children’s learning.
What happened?
I introduced the story to the children and we discussed what was happening and what we could see. The children were fully engaged and inquisitive as the story progressed. As we reached the end together, I pulled the Naughty Bus from my pocket and the children screamed with excitement. It was then that i realised i needed to do something BIG!
What happened next?

I decided that the Naughty Bus had to stay in the setting, but how? I found a box and placed the bus inside and found a place to hide it. During circle time, I revisited the story and as I finished I announced to the children that the Naughty Bus was hiding in the setting... somewhere, ready for a brand new adventure.
I created a book and filled the first few pages with my Naughty Bus adventure to introduce the children to a new story and help guide parents with an idea of what to do. Every time a child found the Naughty Bus, it would go home with that child and they would add to the book. This created a whole book of fantastic stories continuing the adventures of the Naughty Bus,
The project went down very well with the children and parents, it helped bridge that gap between nursery and home in an engaging and involving way Every year I introduce the Naughty Bus to new group of children and watch them become engrossed and amazed.

Color matching and sorting game with plastic marble balls We had this 2 minute easy peasy play set up for learning and sorting colors using an unused ice cube tray and plastic marble balls (part of our chinese checkers playboard). I placed 6 different colored balls in first column of each row and asked Aanshi to place the matching balls in respective rows. She loved it so much and repeated this task atleast 6-7 times!! This easy peasy play helped her in developing pincer grip, fine motor skills, visual discrimination, logical thinking, and concentration. We hope you like these easy play ideas for toddlers. Please save and share it! #learnwithaanshi #learningcolors #easypeasyplay #easyplayideas #simpleplayideas #learningthroughfun #funandplay #toddlerplayideas #learningthroughplay #finemotorskills #homeschoolpreschool #visualdiscrimaination #preschoolathome #noprepkidsactivity #kindergartenactivities #quickeasyplay #playbasedlearning #eyfsideas #earlyyearslearning #simpleplay #colorsorting #colormatchingactivity #finemotoractivity #homeschoolfun #pincer #earlyearsideas #eyfs #earlylearning #toddlerfunlearning https://www.instagram.com/p/CNU05IpsGRZ/?igshid=16r2bdts1vuf
