Some of the food from a lovely meal out at The Manzanillo in Kissonerga. Such a beautiful setting. Nice lighting. Gorgeous olive trees. The tables are nicely spaced out. Lovely ambient music. The food was pretty special too!! Highly recommended. This picture was taken in a children's play area would you believe. Perfect spot for an Instagram worthy snap. It was right in the centre of the busy old town of Paphos. The place to be with vibrant culture an live music. Typical of me to be forever looking for a good backdrop with my hobby photographer eye and then trying to direct someone to take a picture haha. My mum has a pretty good eye of her own though. There has been some funding in 2017 to renovate and restore the mostly neoclassical 1920s buildings back to their glory. It is both beautiful and interesting to walk around. There are many religious sites including an ottoman baths and a Mosque. There are also 4 museums. Lots of street art painting on the walls by @artbymilo and some beautiful bronze sculptures by #yiotaioannidouart There's a living wall, a market, boutiques, galleries and many shops to buy traditional handmade wares. We were actually looking for a certain restaurant that my mum had been to a few years back but couldn't find it so we stopped and asked the owner of the Carob produce shop if she knew somewhere. She walked us, for about a 5 minute walk, to @antigomezedopolio and we were so glad she did! Tiny little shop front with the chairs and tables out in the street and it was like tapas style of ordering but with Cyprus cuisine. I cannot recommend it enough! It was just beautiful. Everything about it and very good value too. They had an acoustic guitarist singing without amplification, which was perfect to add to the atmosphere without being overbearing. We ordered between the three of us and Raphael... stuffed peppers, stuffed courgette flowers, salad, aubergine dip, houmous, lamb chop, Cyprus sausage, lemon beef with onion, lemon pork and seafood risotto and chips. Everything was homemade, from scratch and the chips were something else!!! We got fruit and coffee at the end and I have huge compliments to the chef for the best meal I've had in a long time!
