this prompted me to write some lines for a scene i was struggling with in the next chapter of this fic

Eddie doesn’t like the idea of only being confined to one thing. That he’s a one trick pony and he ends there. If he’s the lead singer of his own metal band and he wants to do a country cover for some stupid movie, then he’ll do it. If only out of spite. He’s gotta keep people on their toes. Not to mention that it’s a song that he knows. A song that reminds him of his momma and simpler times. Better times. Of home and not L.A; a barely there memory of running around barefoot in the front yard and the mountains behind him, warm and rosy and not even close to Los Angeles. Something real.
