Kids need time to create. 🎨 They are full of interesting ideas and perspectives. Being creative accesses a different part of their brain than just plugging themselves in to a digital product. Give them the time, a space and ask them they are interested in doing, and you’ve got a perfect set up for them. Everyday, we always have down time after school. No electronics of any form during this time. I think it is so important to not let that inner, natural creative fade away, so they go do their thing whatever that looks like and I get to watch how that unfolds. Sofia is back into painting and so very pleased with herself. I always focus on the process and not the product. It’s not about me and what I think it should look like.
