Our Past The California Science Center dates to the first State Exposition Building, which opened in 1912. One hundred years later, the Space Shuttle Endeavour found a permanent home at there. After a flight across the country on the back of a 747 & a tour through the streets of Los Angeles, the space shuttle arrived at its final destination. Visitors can learn about the space shuttle program, and the people who helped make it happen. The exhibit also highlights the shuttle's connection to California, where all the orbiters were built.  is next to the #naturalhistorymuseum in Los Angeles so guests can make a day learning about science and history.
