i’m so obsessed with t’lir (ensign) cuz star trek was like look! our new non-binary vulcan! and everyone rolled their eyes like yeah right another uninteresting side character thrown in for diversity points. except instead they were like hi im t’lir im normal 🙂 and immediately had all this insane supernatural shit going on about them (while everyone else is dealing with the basic normal plot) and they’re maybe a god or a host for a god or SOMETHING insane and they’re just like. hi 🙂. i’m normal. 🙂 . literally setting the standard for non-binary rep i love you t’lir

Crusher: “It is not a good day to die.” [ST#11, pt. 2]

IDOL⭐️HANDS: Not only were these scenes dynamic as hell, but that was a bold take on some disappointing story writing, in the past, regarding Tasha Yar’s character from the Star Trek: TNG universe.

Star Trek: Defiant [#7, pt.1/2]

IDOL ⭐️ HANDS: It’s so hard watching Worf and his son fight Iike this or read Alexander say such hateful things about his father…but we have been showing a lot of family strife in this tale, and such riffs are natural in real life too. It had given me hope regarding our favorite androids because, well, we’ve all seen Lore be “evil” and were looking for something else. We got a taste of that. I hope the writers surprise us and still deliver. Will Lore’s revenge give Data a taste of what his life was like for himself, what drove him to those vicious acts? Or is he just biding his time to let everyone duke it out and do the dirty work before swooping in? Anyway, Star Trek often surprises with their eloquent remarks on #faith. To me, this issue was no different.

T’ler: “Your attitude is unhelpful, Ro Laren.” [ST#11, pt. 1]

🚀 NOTE: the ship, the Kobayashi Maru, is a training exercise simulation that all Federation cadets face in Starfleet Academy — it depicts a no-win scenario. Introduced to canon via the film, Star Trekk II: The Wrath of Khan.

Worf: “Perhaps I should carry you, as I did Dax in the jungle.” [#6, pt.1]

🩸THE STORY SO FAR: Kahless’ Day of Blood, a culling of all who do not follow his Red Path, has commenced on the Klingon homeworld of Qo’noS. It is mass conversion by blade, and the crews of the U.S.S. Theseus and Defiant are the galaxy’s only hope in stopping his fascist regime of terror… Captain Sisko and Worf race to the Imperial Spire to confront Kahless head-on. Dr. Beverly Crusher leads a rescue mission with Commander Sela and the Defiant’s Orion science officer to save Lieutenant Descheeni from being assassinated by Red Path heretics. Lieutenants Torres and Paris work to repair a battle-damaged Defiant in hopes of aiding the Theseus and its crew of acting Captain Scott. Commander Spock and Lieutenant Descheeni evade enemy blood wings in orbit. Brothers Data and Lore seek out the mad scientist Korath’s laboratory in search of a week point in Kahless’ god-killing weaponry. Meanwhile, Ro, Lieutenant Shaxs, and Ensigns Sato and T’Lir fight through hordes of fascists in attempt to restore planet wide communications and transport systems.
