I want to brainwash you into loving me forever by @hangmanbradshaw, or IWTBY for short, is a NFL au where Jake is a quarterback for The Giants and Bradley is a restaurant owner. When pics of Jake kissing a man in a club are about to get leaked by a tabloid, jake’s manager, that just so happens to be Mav, talks to the man in the picture, that just so happens to be his godson Bradley, and asks if he would pretend to be Jake’s boyfriend because it would make it easier for him to come out if he’s in a relationship. There’s a lot more to it, the story also deals with homophobia from parents, feelings of not being lovable and found family. It’s soo good and I’ll recommend it to anyone that’s into hangster

Ahhh this is the second request for this fic! Obviously a popular one 🥰 Wow I'd love to see an AU where Mav, Goose and Carole are all together and "grown up" so that's such a fun addition. Also love a fake dating story, who doesn't!

For your Recco List, might I recommend "false god" by @cherrycola27

It's a gender bent retelling of the myth of Hades (and Persephone aka the worst goddess ever)

In Nik's version, Hades is a female fighter pilot with a legendary career who's been banished to Earth. She gets station with the Dagger Squad and falls for one Bradley Bradshaw. As the story evolves, we see Hades go from isolating herself, to letting herself fall in love and be loved while dealing with and healing her past trauma. It's a work in progress, and I can't way to see where Nik takes it. The way she incorporates her own spin on mythology in it thrills me!

My husband is a total mythology nerd so he would love this if he had one millionth as much of a crush on Bradley as I do lol. Love that you've recommended a WIP, I feel like sometimes people feel like they can't make reccos until a series is over but that doesn't have to be the case.

This is totally going on my TBR! And for any Bradley Baddies™ out there, this sounds like one for y'all!

@hangmanbradshaw has a hangster NFL au where Jake is a quarterback and Bradley is a chef. Both Carole and goose are alive and he’s a retired football player who played for the same team Jake currently plays for! There’s also a bit of Icemav towards the middle/end. It’s a bit of a slow burn but SOOO WORTH IT!

Oh we are FEELING the NFL because this is a T Swift household. I can so see Bradley being a chef, too, that fits! I love that it's an AU where Goose and Carole are alive. This is totally going on the list! I also freaking adore slow burns, that's kind of my fav thing to read.

For the recc list. Every Hour We Spent Together, Lives Within My Heart by @phoenix-rising-starbird-one . It’s a Jake x Phoenix one shot and it’s sad (medical trauma but the author has warnings at the top). I still love it though because we get a soft, “there’s more behind the inflated ego” Jake.

everything @sunlightmurdock writes is amazing! My personal favourites are Ceasefire (Bradley x milf!reader (and she’s his instructor!)) and Operation Apollo (secret service!Jake x president’s daughter!reader)

Hell yes I second this so hard!! I probably think of Bradley and Hawaii babe from Trouble in Paradise no less than once a month, not joking at all. Katie's fics are the best! I need to add Ceasefire to my TBR list!

there’s a floydshaw fic where they are roommates, it’s called Ghosts by @bradshawsbitch and I have to reread it every once in awhile because of how good it is!

I love hearing when people re-read fics! It makes writers so happy, truly!
