i need to practise walk cycles so i can animate the whole kälher family but that will take patience. something i dont have 😔
#gilly speaks#sorry thinking abt how the twins take elements from their parents gates#ermengarde has big bouncy almost rubberhose-like gate with a wide stride and fists swinging up and down#whilst william has a slouched sluggish gate with tightly clenched fists by his side that move in a very stiff motion#emmets obvsly got a bit of that big confident gate ermengarde has with less bounce and a wide stride. whole arms are also stiff#lngos gate is stiff but hes not slouched like his father and honestly his shoulder motion mimics ermengardes but his hands dont sway#i would describe the whole family to have a 'mechanical'' vibe to their walk and i dont mean like robotic. i mean you could watch them walk#and theyd be perfectly timed to the sfx of a steam train chugging along#ermengarde is definitely heavy footed and doesnt bother with the element of surprise so its fine#william is quiet despite his heavy appearing gate but he does shuffle a lot so most of the time u can hear him coming lmao#both the twins have loud and quiet steps depending on the context tbh#emmets def naturally quiet whist lngo has the loud footsteps but they both have a habit of accidentally scaring ppl by showing up#out of nowhere lmao#honestly the twins gates look similar but when you put them side by side you can see how different they are#esp when it comes to run cycles or any fast walking lmao
