GOD I knew about the StarClan trial already but actually reading it is making me so angry. Both because it's completely unfair and because I think this scene is the laziest, ugliest world building this series has done.

#oots provided so many interesting implications about starclan #my favorite of which is that seemingly cats FIND starclan. if they can get there they can stay there #that's the reason bluestar gives for ashfur being there and i think it makes a lot of sense #especially given that usually the dead are guided to starclan. if they don't have a guide then it's up to them to figure it out y'know?#i made a whole post about it ages ago. anyway #i hate how all of that got thrown out just to kick a couple characters who have spent the whole series suffering and being punished #the fact that they gotta review their lives and explain their sins before a panel of judges? like??#not to get too religious but boy that gives me flashbacks to the harshest bits of christianity #hey warrior cats can we. can we NOT #i don't usually get genuinely upset at this series (if i did i wouldn't read it lol)#but this batshit writing choice is just so horrible on so many levels to the point that I'm offended it exists #ugh. anyway #also i had to open my laptop to edit a tag and wow the updated desktop layout is BAD #pigeon mews
