LA By Night should have had a way bigger following on tumblr seeing as it has the Most Tumblr Ship i've ever seen:

Edgy Sadboy vampire guy with brutal trust issues, kind of a literal serial killer but with a heart of gold <3, a tragic habit of jumping in front of other people to catch bullets and/or literal fireballs for them, Sneaky™, sassy and full of dated references, owns a lot of Knives. they're all monsters but unlike the others he's noteably monstrous and hideous on the outside. also he lives? in an evil underground labyrinth? I cannot overstate how beauty and the beast coded the concept is

cursed bisexual vampire blood witch. ethereal beauty. very spacy vibes. endlessly patient, until she’s not and starts shooting literal lightning. was called to a board meeting about vampire turf wars and supernatural attacks and brought everyone flowers (one was even a complicated reference to a running joke). attended Woodstock. lives (works?) in an observatory.

aforementioned emo boy was doing her a favour and nearly got burned to a crisp in the process. she gave him a healing potion for the pain (he would have healed by himself eventually) that was later revealed to be extremely rare and the only one she had.

she keeps giving this man jewellery and he immediately wears it everywhere

due to a protective spell she has running he literally cannot initiate touch without severely burning his hands. finding this out did not stop him from immediately making the same mistake again.

they had a literal library/study date

their first kiss was preceded by the line "I think I've been alone long enough" and they were. literally floating in mid-air. during all of it.

tell me if you destilled the Tumblr aesthetic all the way down it would not result in this exact visual. you'd be lying.
