Colette takes it upon herself to stop by home today, mainly since it was Father's Day. Her dad was an important figure in her life, and while she was sure she didn't need to get him anything, she wanted to do so anyways.

She found an interesting stone while she was diving in Azure Bay, and thought it was cool enough to gift to Red. She'd chat with Serena upon entering the house, her mom baking something (likely one of dad's favorites, knowing her).

Her dad was in the backyard of course, and Colette let her team out so that they could mingle a bit with her parent's teams, the parties always happy to see one another as per usual.

"Hey dad, Happy Father's Day." Colette greets, giving him a hug. Soon after, she searches through her bag, holding the stone in her hand and making sure it was totally covered. No spoiling! "I didn't have a chance to wrap it," she admits, having just found it earlier that morning, "but I thought you might like it."

She places the stone in his hands. It was a Fire Stone, but... it looked somewhat different. It was almost like a mutation, a stone that had tried turning into a Mega Stone, but something interfered with it partway through. It threw light as the sun hit it, an array of color staining the grass, with the warmer colors being predominant. It was smaller than the average Fire Stone due to the mutation, but was still bigger than a Mega Stone, able to fit comfortably in the palm of the hand.

"Kind of looks like it almost tried turning into a Charizardite, huh? I saw it glowing at the bottom of the bay when I was diving, so... I picked it up; I thought you'd like it." Colette says, smiling a little. "Thanks for everything you've done for me. I couldn't have asked for a better dad." / @irradier :')

He'd heard the sound of someone's team being let out before he knew which of their daughters it was, though he was tipped off that it was Colette by seeing Morgana wandering over to see Merlin in particular. He had a feeling he'd hear from both of the girls at some point today, though he wasn't worried at all about gifts or anything for him. As sweet as the day was in giving appreciation to fathers, he knew they were busy and wasn't that bothered about it if they couldn't make it.

Truth be told he was more just adjusting to the fact that they were already so grown up. All the same it was nice to see Colette, he greeted her with a hug in return when she came over.

"Hey--" He was about to say thank you, but she let go to search through her bag and he was very curious what she'd brought with her. When he was actually given the stone, he couldn't help admiring the way the colors reflected in the sunlight. Strange for the process to be suddenly interrupted, but it was gorgeous to look at.

Still, hearing the way she'd acquired the stone at all made Red laugh briefly. "You're just reminding me of when your mother was digging through the beach in Alola for mega stones, you both really have an interesting ability to notice stones like this in the most unlikely of places."

Funny to this day that both of those stones went on to be used by both of their daughters' teams, practically their aces no less. How time flies... not that he should think about that for overly long, or he might get a bit misty-eyed on a happy day.

"You were right anyway, I do love it, " he replied with a smile. "Thank you Colette, and you know I couldn't have asked for better daughters."

He can’t hold back snickering over this. Clear evidence she spends too much time with Yveltal, but it’s just too funny.

Guess he better go refill her water bottle.

"Look dad, my Squirtle evolved!" She seems very happy and proud of her starter. "And I caught a Gible recently too. Can we go show mom? I want her to see."

Go on Anon and pretend to be my muse’s future kid!

"Really? Already?" He asks with interest. "That's great Colette, you and your team are getting better all the time and so quickly too."

"As great as that is though, try not to go too fast and try to give yourself a break okay?" He attempts to suggest, though he remembers his own determination to prove his strength back when he was her age, and he sees that in spades on Colette's face. "I know it's cliché advice but Kalos is a beautiful place, and I don't want you to miss out on things just from being set on your goals as a trainer. There's more to it than training and getting badges, though looking at your pokemon now... I'm guessing you've got this anyway."

"You really are doing amazing, and I am very proud of you." He adds with a smile. "Mom's going to love hearing about your Wartortle and Gible too, you know she thinks the same way I do."
