sometimes i think about the second to last chapter in crim.son flo.wer and i think about how it’s sylvain who is there with dimitri fighting alongside him

like dedue is a guarantee, you know?

you get all the blue lions scattered throughout the chapters, but it’s sylvain who is there with dimitri (in CF, which was created after AM which imo is a thing to note for this)

the same person who said in azure moon that he would be there for dimitri until the end

if there is one thing that continuity in this game did right, it was their friendship and their friendship is one of my absolute favorite things in this game

not the over used gags and the “they’re just childhood friends”

the fact that just being childhood friends alone would not necessarily drive dimitri to have sylvain of all people at his side for this important cf battle, and would not necessarily drive sylvain to be there in life and death for dimitri

they trust each other implicitly and it’s this kind of thing that shows it

#i hate how the main story made sylvain so one note compared to his supports #and his dialogue in other routes like this #times like these show the best of his character and how loyal he is but he main story is generally just #not good at getting that across. it's the same issue Leonie has with VW's main story #look this might sound crazy as shit y\all but this is the kind of friendship y'all should wanna aspire to #having that person who will be there for you through everything. absolutely everything #the person who will stay during your worst times and you'll do the same for and be there when they get out of that dark time #the person who will bring you along during one of the most significant moments in your life #even in SS if you didn't recruit sylvain it's implied he died for dimitri at gronder #even though it's only in felix's supports that felix tells him to stop being so reckless with his life and all that #dimitri would be beyond devastated to lose sylvain too. felix isn't the only one who feels that way #dimitri just has different ways of showing that #what im rly saying is that modern day dimitri and sylvain would have each other's passwords to everything #like u know in case anything ever happened to one of them the other has access to everything #im telling you THAT'S HOW IT IS THAT'S WHAT THIS IS #i lov them and i cri #DCE Comments
