Cynthia had come to the gala with a new client. One that didn’t seem to mind that once the night was going that she went off and did her own thing. She liked to partake in events like this because this was home and the history mattered. The pup was making her way to the bathroom when she caught a familiar scent. She turned around before she stepped inside and smiled when she saw Hayato standing there. “I was wondering if I would see you.” A smirk tugs at the corners of her mouth.  @covairesokami​

To say that Owen feels overdressed is a sincere understatement. And as he sits on the opposite side of the bar from what he’s used to, he feels even more out of place. But Vivienne insisted he show, and so here he was, dressed to match the Soutine painting he’d associated with as he’d browsed for the proper artwork to express his state of being. Fiddling with the drink, he felt someone approach and looked over his shoulder. Grinning, he nodded. “Well... aren’t you just the shiniest penny in the room?” The drawl slipped easier from him with a few drinks in his system.

Danielle made her way around the growing crowd of people and watched a certain blonde. She seemed to be taking in everything different. With a tray of hors d'oeuvres, something made with spinach, she stopped in front of her. “Would you like something to eat?” The redhead smiled at her.

“So what brought you to come with us, Maeve? I was surprised that Logan had you join us.” 

Was the pup jealous? Maybe if she had the capacity. But jealousy was not the prompt, simply curiosity. Plus, it wasn’t a secret that Tesla enjoyed sharing her Alpha. Was Logan adding to their pack? If so, that’d only be exciting. Or maybe she was just a friend. Regardless, Maeve was someone who sparked the pup’s searching nature, clear by the way Tesla was tuned into her so intensely.

Their time together in Greece had been well spent, and the vampire had a hard time bringing her back. However, she did look damn good in her dress. Looking over at her every so often, he found himself thinking of all the places they could sneak away to here for a little rendezvous. But he wouldn’t take her from a good time. Instead he came up behind her, planting a gentle kiss to her temple before he looked down at her. “Did anyone tell you that you are the literal comparison to perfection tonight? No piece of artwork can steal attention like you.”

He takes joy in teaching Tesla things. He thinks the more she learns, the more she might be able to do freely without someone taking advantage. He’s protective, but he’s also willing to let her explore because he knows that if anything, life is the best teacher. Although he wondered who helped her dress tonight as he can’t recall a night where she’s looked more beautiful. “You know... I can’t help but wonder if you put this look together on your own or not because if you did, I am very impressed. You look..... gorgeous.”

Leone wasn’t normally one to turn their head towards young folks, supernatural or no, but Sori’s entrance definitely made an exception. The lines were sharp and crisp, yet flowing at the same time. The mage had recognized Sori as the owner of CosmO+ from one of the times she’d played guest or plaything to one of the fanged ones on the East Side. So the mage was at least going to greet the young vampire who’d made enough impact to divert their attention.

Ellie chose this dress in a blushed pink — less because it reminded her of a particular piece of art, and more so because of how she interprets the correlation to art as a whole. It is beautiful, but it is also sheer. Like art, it draws the eye, yet viewers may find the underlying message to be even more appealing.

Cynthia was wondering if she would have a chance to speak to Lorenzo. She knew he could be busy. The pup was standing on the patio when she turned to see him, making her way over. “Good evening Lorenzo.” A smile lingered on her face. “I was looking for you. Wondering if you had time to have a small chat.” After her few conversations with him, she took what he said to heart and it helped her grow. “You look very handsome tonight.” @lorenzocaselli​

Maeve McAlister  ☆ Frida Kahlo, Flower Basket

With not much to spend, Maeve hashed together her outfit by finding a flamboyant dress at Thrifty, then heading to Covaire Library to read about modern art and find an artist who could fit the style. Finding out about Frida Kahlo was not as boring as she’d thought, and she soon found herself enamored by the exotic woman with the stern eyebrows.

In addition to her dress with a bold floral print, Maeve has woven real flowers through her hair - and in a magical twist, they lightly move as though manipulated by a gentle breeze.

Danielle had been waiting around for when he would come. The redhead had something mischievous planned. She was walking around serving drinks and looked towards the entrance when she saw the officer come in. Her emerald hues watched him intently, not caring who took a drink, until she saw that he sat down at his table and she made her way over to him. “And here I thought you weren’t going to come.” She jutted her bottom lip out into a pout, a hand coming down and ‘accidentally’ knocking the fork on the ground. “Let me get that for you.”

Tesla saw the other wolf from across the room and excused herself from Logan’s side. Tesla was always happy to see Israel. Another wolf they were comfortable around, but different. Not the same warm she felt with her Client, but something warm all the same.
