I have such a problem with "semi-formal" designations for event attire because I am always ok being overdressed to a casual thing, but don't want to be the person too dressed down at the gig.
#like wtf pieces do i have that look good together and are both the perfect amount of dressy.#my favorite pants could be dressed up#but the nicer shirt i would think to wear with them i normally have open over a tank top#my other go-to pants are light grey#but then what#a light sweater?#tbats just fucking office attire#i dont want to wear business casual to a party!#i have a longer black velvet skirt that i love#but i usuakly wear it hiked up way far or rolled over to customize the length with a big sweater on top#on top of everything i as a rule can not wear 100% polyester/acrylic/plastic#there are a few exceptions but mostly i can not#and that makes shopping for fancier clothes damn near impossible#everything that looks fancy thats affordable is plastic#everything thats fancy and a natural fiber is expensive!!!#anyway if you have any outfit inspos or ideas hit me up#=
