In a world where both “long-life/short-life” and “party leader/party mage” relationships are both seen as very popular and common romances, Marcille & Laios are fighting for their lives w their undefined qpr thing. And I’m proud of them.
#it’s so funny to me that they are at the intersection of two - TWO!!! - of the most common in universe romance tropes#and then proceed to build this incredibly close important relationship but they are like dodging the ‘genre mandated romance’ at every turn#they don’t realize they are doing it it’s like the gag where a character bends down to tie their shoe right as something whizzes by overhea#except instead of Deadly Projectile it’s hetero/amatonormativity#(don’t tag/comment that they are in-laws please. leave me be make another post)
