#i understand the reasons for limits but also pls support my coping mechanisms for my anxieties#i did articulate my position on abortion tho so it's nice to set that in words that feel true#but-- fuck. jesus. the entire american economy is built on coercion#which means every argument ends up framed as 'less offensive coercion' vs 'yeah okay it's coercive But it has the immediate effect we want'#fuck u 140 character limit are u fuckin old school twitter#augh ugh i know you gotta set limits but i Am going to continue to complain when the limits inconvenience me#anyway. raising interest rates is fundamentally an effort to give workers less bargaining power vs employers#and Also is gonna crush home building and buying rates in a time of insufficient housing#(esp in my area)#which is Not gonna help with landlords jacking rent costs by 40 fuckin % bc the demand is high enough and supply low enough#or with the corporations making record profits bc people gotta fucking buy food no matter what#food and medical care and Basic Functions of Life are never fairly priced under unrestricted capitalism#they aren't opt in! they aren't even opt out!#if people can't choose to just Not then supply and demand is not an equitable market force!#anyway. i wanna tear the bellies outta industry lobbies and watch them shovel their intestines back into their bodies#so that maybe we can get Useful Shit Done while they're busy not dying like the rest of us plebs#excpet our elections are so reliant on funding which mostly comes from lobbies#which means officials gotta vote for their lobbies' positions to keep their seats#which means votes come down to what lobbies pay most#and the lobbies that can pay most are always Always based on carving every fucking penny out of their workers#which means life gets shittier and shittier for everyone except the shitheads making immediate profit!#maybe i just don't know enough about the stock market but it Sure Seems to incentivize immediate profit at Any Future Cost#such as. like. the planet?? all the organic resources on the planet?? every person on the planet??#Any person on the planet. fuck.#hey. hey lobbies? i know it's gonna suck real bad for the next ten years or so But#i know. it's hard. i am sorry.#but in fifty years the current plan is gonna hurt real bad anyway#please. it's gonna hurt you less to change now than it will hurt to change later#anyway government subsidies have been wildly skewed by lobbying and i just wanna bounce everyone's heads like basketballs until they Think#this is not a good outcome for society! a bad outcome for society now is a bad outcome for you in ten years!
