-it's gonna take a life to drag me away from you-
childhood friends to lovers
part 1 / more like an intro
kit and you have been friends for over ten years, watching each other grow up to be honest. He turned out to be a great actor, you always loved him act on the stage when you guys were just elementries, with his ginger hair and frecklesses and that cute little nose. You wouldn't say you were so close or bestest friends but his family was living next door and you've been to same schools since the last year of high school because that's when he started to the filming of the series heartstopper. You couldn't see him that much, maybe only on some weekends after he got his driver's license you would hear him parking his car on the driveway late at night or take the family dogs for a walk on some Saturday mornings. He would wave or smile at you or stop for a little chat about your schoolwork and your pets and then he'd leave.
You could sense his growth, both physical and mental. He had always been a nice, kind and loving person but he became a better gentleman exactly knowing how to treat a person. You wished to spend more time with him, like you two always did back in middle school or beginning of the high school. He used to come over to play Wii and he was the number one participant of your birthdays which used to held in your neighborhoods little Waffle House.
'' Are you doing anything on your birthday this year honey?'' your mother asked when both of you were occupied with different chores in the kitchen
'' no, no all my friends are out of town for semester I was planning on to celebrate it with you and dad maybe grandma and grandpa?''
'' oh okay, they'd be so happy, would it be okay if I call the connor's over? I don't know if kit would make it but would be nice I thought huh? ''
'' yeah, yeah you can of course wouldn't be a problem for me.''
'' great i will bake strawberry cake for you, your favorite.''
you smiled at her and kissed her from her cheek before you leave to take a quick shower to take the dog out for a walk at the park.
your AirPods on your ears listening to some podcast, you saw a familiar face coming from the opposite side of the sidewalk. Kit in his sweatpants and a denim jacket with one of his family dogs. You felt blood rushing through your ears because after you watched him being nick nelson you couldn't stop yourself from admiring him... his side smile, teary eyes, strawberry blonde hair...he felt too familiar yet so stranger.
'' y/n, you are at the doggie duty today huh?'' he said after taking of his headphones to chit chat with you a bit
'' uh, yes, yes Fridays are my days, how long have you been here? haven't seen you around?''
'' i arrived yesterday had a pretty busy month to be honest, missed being at home, missed Croydon and the silence so much.'' he said and his lips curled into a sideway smile just like nick's.
'' glad to have you back sebastian.'' you said, smiled back at him guessing it'd been a lot since probably heard someone call him by his second name.
'' glad to be back y/n. I liked your hair way better like this, short hair suits you I guess?''
you felt blood rushing through your cheeks, just nodded your head before mouthing the words '' thank you.''
'' well see you then?'' he said after a few seconds of awkward silence
'' yeah, yeah see you around of course.'' you said before waving a hand at him, just as you started to walk away with your dog you felt the urge to look back one more time, like maybe he was still standing there watching you leave? maybe he had something to say?
you turned your head back to see kit standing there his black headphones in his hands, watching you walking away.
'' oh, hi'' he said from a bit far away, you could see his freckled nose all crunched up like he was embarrassed.
'' i was gonna ask you if you'd like to come over for a movie tonight? like in the old days?'' he said, almost too shyly like he was afraid you'd say no.
your heart was racing, you were afraid he'd hear its voice from that distance.
'' yes, yes I'd love too.'' you said sounding almost too enthusiastic.
'' great, see you tonight then huh?'' he said, with a side grin again leaving you so weak. that little mouth, that smile and smiley eyes.
'' huh huh, I'd bake us cookies.''
'' it'd be great actually yeah, ill tell my mom you're coming over .''

Was the smiley face on the left?
Portgas D Ace x Reader
Cw : OOC, angst, character death (i know i said i wont make thatch dead but....yeah.), made by impulse, i just feel sad at the time so, why not? I just feel like my grief toward him is similar to my rl grief. Gn!reader. Cringe, not proofread please spare me. My attempt to make something for the beautiful firefly, Ace.
Word counts : 1k
---
You break the pencil in your hand. A heavy sigh coming out of your mouth. It's fading. The memories of him. You keep scratching the paper beneath you until it breaks. A shape of a head. A shape of a hat. But no eyes, no lips, no accessories on the hat. You keep forgetting. How long has it been? Two years? Two and a half. His brother already making new news for the sea and the marines to deal with. But you? Stuck in whatever island this is, no crew, or any people you knew in sight. Your life has been a circle of loneliness. Hunt. Sell. Buy food. Go home. Your home isn't even a home, it's an abandoned building you found near the woods. The island itself quite civilized. But nothing grand about it.
You get up from the floor, letting the papers stepped by your bare foot. You try to remember how he looks. His orange hat. Which one has a smiley face? Left or right? Was it your right or his right?? His freckles. How much was it? You were pretty sure that the freckless on his face js concentrated on one place, was it his nose or his right cheek?
You ruffled your hair in frustation. Hair, face, hat, scent. What was it? How was it? You curse yourself for not drawing his potrait enough when you were on the ships. You curse the war for destroying the ships and you can't save the remaining portraits. You curse Ace for never stay still for more potrait. You curse every single living and non-living things in this world. You were angry, you were mad, to everything, to yourself.
You sat back down in the floor again, hair felling down around your face. Usually, Ace will come at you like this, fixing the strands of hair that's covering your face. But he's not here, isn't he? Not anymore. You can hear your stomach grumbled. At these times, Thatch always came with a plate of warm meal, but his caring hand isn't here either. None of them were. You guys were scattered after the war. Separated from one to another.
Your hands floating on top of the paper, you close your eyes again.
---
"You know, perhaps it will be better if you spent more time to play or feast with us." Ace smiled at you, who were busy, drowned in paper and ink and graphite.
"I want to make a full book of you, and all of the crew. Something to remembered, even after we long gone." You said your usual answer. It's true, you want to make a potrait of each of Whitebeard's crew and combine them in a book, each potraits accompanied by its description and even funfacts about them. He scoff, not to ridicule you,
"You also need something to be remembered about us. And you'll get it if you please come outside and join us. Pretty please?" He used his pretty eyes. Dark. Almost black. But pretty as a gemstone. Or maybe it's just you being in love with him.
---
You open your eyes. That's it. Dark eyes, obsidian like eyes. Your hands move freely in the paper, finally finding it.
---
"No, the smiley is supposed to be left." Ace move the smiley face on his hat who was broken after a fight. You were spending the night fixing it together with him on the deck, under the starts.
"Ace my beloved ....it's right. It's YOUR right."
"Well it's your left, and whoever-in-front-of-me-at-the-time left, so it's left."
---
Smiley face on OUR left, frowny face on his left.
---
"I love you." His voice trembled, althought he covered it quickly. He always been like this, playing it cool, even though he feel like he's gonna burn right now. Despite being made of fire technically.
You smiled, soft and caring, but also exploding with all the love you have for him. You were young anyway, and the love at that times always feels so amazing, euphoric.
"Ace," he lifted his head, smiling with uncertainty and anxiety in his eyes. But he, like he always do, trying to look strong and cool, like he doesn't really care about it after all, but you can see what inside. His fear, his genuine love. "Ace, I love you too."
He smiled. Not a fake one when he try to fool people that he can do everything and coming back without a scratch. But a smile so genuine, so loving, you can feel warmth coming from him ....wait a minute. He's actually on fire. You screamed and panicked, and he quickly set his fire off. You look at each other and laughed, he apologized but still laughing with you, falling to the sand of the beach together, still smiling and holding each other hands.
---
You open your eyes, you can feel tears dropping. His smile. His smile. His smile and laugh. Your hands move again, crying and cursing the marines, cursing kurohige. His potrait is done. You feel like digging a hole and burying yourself deep inside. It's him. You feel a surge of warmth spreading in your chest. It almost like he's here again with you, watching you finished an artwork and hyping you up for it. Almost.
You gave a last touch. His freckless, focused on his cheeks. Perfect. You clean your room after a long time. You go for a walk and spend your savings for a good actual food and some sweet drinks that you used to love. You go to the market and buy new papers and paint, you will use it to add some colour and soul to his potrait you left at home. And when you walk home, you feel a lot better than before. Your room is clean, his potrait hung near your working space. But the real suprise were the person who sat in the corner of your room. His back on the wall, his eyes staring at the potrait you made.
"Marco, it's been a long time." You smiled at him.

☆ bliss and fear ☆
Papa Emeritus IV x GN Reader ||
summary: The morning after couldn’t have been any more perfect.
content: 3k words, mystery (kind of), drama, fantasy, romance, smut (not graphically described but still there), friendship
♡♡ part 1 ♡♡ part 2 ♡♡ part 3 ♡♡ part 4 ♡♡ part 5 ♡♡ part 6 ♡♡ part 7 ♡♡ part 8 ♡♡
Well, I wasn't supposed to write any smut in this but... oopsie. 😁 I tried to keep it less detailed as smut is not my strongest suit and I wanted to approach the whole thing a bit differently. But hope you enjoy!

You woke up to the feeling of fingers ghosting over your bare shoulder and arm. With a happy smile on your lips, you opened your eyes, seeing Copia laying beside you, watching you eyes all soft and loving.
”Sorry, didn’t mean to wake you,” he whispered and you let out a small protest sound.
”It’s alright, I feel well rested,” you said and Copia’s lips curved into a smug smirk. ”Oh no…”
You realized your mistake and pulled the blanket to cover your face, hearing Copia’s low chuckle right after.
Last night you two had finally got tangled on the bed, naked, and let your desires to drown you into a pool of pleasure. The memories were still fresh on your mind and you certainly could feel everything in your body – a proof that it hadn’t been just a dream.
Copia pulled the blanket away from your face, leaning in to kiss your cheek. Humming, you turned your head so that you could claim his lips, and Copia’s hand cupped your face gently, thumb brushing your cheek. You let the memories flood in your mind, vivid images of your intimacy drawn on your retinas.
Your eyes took in every inch of skin that was revealed as Copia discarded his clothes. His pale chest, partly covered by hair, the curve of his hips and belly, strong thighs… You were completely in awe – he was breathtaking, so beautiful. And you desperately wanted to touch him…
Copia nibbled your bottom lip, pulling then back and smiling at you love-struck, the sight making your heart melt, warmth of happiness coursing through you like the sweetest drug.
Copia laid down on the bed, back against the sheets and you climbed on top him, straddling him. You hadn’t said a word in a while – you didn’t need to, somehow it all was clear. That how this all would go. Copia’s gaze raked over your naked form and you felt the fire within you blazing, his eyes dark of deep desire, the air around you thick with anticipation.
”How are you feeling?” you asked, cupping Copia’s face.
”I don’t think I have words for this feeling,” Copia admitted, his eyes shinier now, voice full of emotion. ”Happy but so much more.”
You chuckled knowing what he meant. It was hard to describe how you felt now. But it didn’t matter that you and Copia couldn’t find the words. You were there, together, basking in the aftermath of your coupling. You knew how you felt about each other. And that mattered.
Copia’s fangs scraped your skin, leaving light red marks along your collarbone, and his hands held your hips, sharp nails digging into your flesh as you rode him. He could have easily turn you around, push you against the sheets and mattress, take control but instead he was underneath you, letting you be in control.
Your eyes studied Copia’s face, all the lines, faint freckless that adorned his features. You had done so many times before but it wouldn’t hurt to memorize them over and over again. No matter how secure things were now, there still was that little feeling deep within that was hard to shake off. A feeling of that this all might just disappear, without a warning.
You could feel the tears stinging and you tried to blink them away but it was in vain. A few tears escaped and Copia’s brows furrowed instantly and you moved your other hand to wipe the tears away.
”It’s nothing… I was just thinking again, you know, not-so-nice things.”
Copia nodded, placing then a little kiss on the tip of your nose as a way of trying to comfort you. He obviously was worried but didn’t want to pressure you to talk about the matter.
You were getting close, so close, and by the look on Copia’s face, you knew that he was, too. You moved your body faster, chasing the release, moans escaping your lips. Copia’s grip on your hips was now almost bruising, his eyes fluttering as you ground yourself down harder, wanting – needing – to feel all of him.
Copia pressed his forehead against yours and you took a deep breath, closing your eyes. Everything was good, perfect even. Your first time had been perfect. And no matter how crazy it might have sounded, you were certain it had only deepened your connection. This was something you had never felt before and while it was the most amazing thing in the world, it was also scary. But you had to trust it, the feeling, and those words that were now itching on your tongue.
It would be too soon to say them. Maybe. They were there but you couldn’t voice them. Not yet. But the right time would come, eventually.
It was amazing to watch how Copia was coming undone underneath you. His lips parted, fangs bare and eyes glowing of pleasure and hunger. Hunger for your blood. But he wasn’t going to bite you, not this time. But even the thought of him wanting your blood was enough to make you melt and it took only a few roll of hips before you came, your back arching and your hands gripping Copia’s biceps hard.
That send him over the edge, too, and he growled, all predator-like, and in the next blink of an eye you were pulled into a fierce kiss.
Copia shifted, moving his hand to trace along your upper arm, his gaze following the movement.
”I hope I wasn’t too rough,” Copia stated, and you turn your head to look at your arm. There was red scrape marks all over it, some a little fainter than others and smiling you shook you head.
”No, you weren’t,” you said and shifted to pull the blanket away, revealing more of your naked body. The same marks continued all the way down to your hips but there was something purple among them, too. Bruises. Not that it surprised you. Copia however, looked at them with a mix of regret and satisfaction.
”You didn’t hurt me.” Copia’s fingers now went over the biggest bruise. ”Even though I’m still a human, I don’t break easily.”
Copia made a face at that, though there was a small smile tucking at his lips.
”I know that, I just…”
”Worry too much?”
”Sí,” Copia admitted, tracing the outline of the bruise.
Your kiss turned to more lazy as you slowly rode out the bliss and eventually you had to part so that you could finally catch your breath. You collapsed on top of Copia, your body aching all over but in a good way. Copia let out a soft ’oof’ and wrapped his arms around you, gently caressing your back. You ran your fingers through the hair on his chest, noticing how his skin felt now a bit more warm than usual.
The silence fell comfortably between you, Copia continuing his tracing work while you just focused on admiring him. He hadn’t put any clothes on, either, despite that he must have been awake for a while. Your eyes took in his strong physique that held undeniably sexy softness around it. It was hard to resist touching him and so you reached out and placed your hand on his belly. Copia stiffened, his hand’s movement stopping on your side, and for a moment you thought he was going to pull away.
”You’re gorgeous,” you breathed out and Copia blinked, looking taken aback. Then he lowered his gaze, shifting nervously, and something unpleasant turned in your chest. You moved your fingers on his belly, gently squeezing the soft flesh.
”Lay on your back,” you suggested, and Copia did so, though he hesitated for a fleeting moment. Now that you had a better access to his belly, you didn’t waste time – you moved yourself into a more comfortable position and leaned down to place kisses on it while your hands settled on his hips. Copia inhaled deeply, soon relaxing under your touch, and you released a breath you hadn’t realized you had been holding.
”So beautiful,” you praised, leaving a trail of kisses right beside Copia’s navel. ”So damn sexy,” you continued, now with a much lower voice and searched for eye-contact. Copia was looking down at you with awe and you flashed him a smile before continuing adorning his belly with kisses. The faint hairs tickled your face and you can’t help but bury your face into the softness and breathe in his scent. His natural musk had a sweeter scent alongside of it and it was intoxicating.
Your grip on Copia’s hips tightened and you couldn’t help but gently nibble the skin, earning a quiet groan from Copia. You hummed satisfied, eyes finding Copia’s own again, his gaze now darker. Soon you decided to sink your teeth a bit harder into the flesh, darting your tongue out and licking over the spot right after, then repeating the pattern a few times and drawing out hisses from Copia.
It didn’t take long before you felt something hard poking you, and a smirk rose to your lips as you met Copia’s gaze. He set his hand under your chin, his eyes filled with the familiar lust.
”If you continue that, I might…” He didn’t finish the sentence but you could easily guess what he meant. You smirked, running your tongue over your lower lip, gaze glued to Copia.
”Do you want to take this further?” you asked, drawing a random pattern on Copia’s belly with your fingers. Copia brushed his thumb over your lips, thinking for a moment.
”There’s no need for that now,” he eventually answered, and you nodded. You hadn’t thought of taking that further, either, though you certainly wouldn’t have said ’no’ if Copia had wanted more. You moved yourself to lay beside Copia, pulling the blanket to cover your lower bodies and placing your hand on Copia’s chest.
As a silence fell between you, you snuggled as close to Copia as possible, pressing your face against his cheek and breathing in his scent while letting your eyes flutter closed. A smile rose to your lips, Copia’s scent a sweet distraction to your mind that tend to go rapid when it got quiet around you. And now there was only one thought on the top of your mind.
The morning after couldn’t have been any more perfect.

The cafe was almost packed but you and Olivia had managed to find a free table from the corner near the window. You usually didn’t come to the cafe right after work as it meant a lot of people would be there but this time you had made an exception – Olivia had asked you so nicely and promised to pay all for you so you couldn’t just decline that offer.
”So, how’s it going with Terzo?”
Olivia’s face turned straight into a big grin, her eyes shining.
”Oh, he’s amazing! Charming, yes, everyone can see that but there’s more, you know,” she explained and you nodded, smiling. ”I know this is still the beginning but I think that maybe this could be something good for once.”
You hummed, taking then a sip of your tea.
”I had that feeling, too. I still have, in fact.”
Olivia let out a little happy sound. ”And I’m so glad you and Copia helped me a little.”
”Happy that I could help,” you stated, taking a bite of your croissant. It was honestly so lovely to see Olivia being much more brighter and in a good mood. Of course, everyone had bad days every once in a while but the change you had seen in Olivia in these past three weeks was perceptible. She had never been rude or anything but she seemed to be softer, nicer, now if that made any sense.
”Uhm… I don’t know if I should ask this but…” Olivia hesitated a bit, drawing her bottom lip between her teeth, and you gave her a nod as an encouragement. ”How does that vampire-human thing works with you and Copia?”
A long sigh left from you.
”It has worked quite well…” you started, shifting on your chair, and Olivia’s brows furrowed.
”But?”
”It has caused some rifts, too. So I wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth sailing all the way but we have worked things out.”
The look in Olivia’s face changed into more serious one.
”But you think it can work?”
That was a hard question to answer. You really didn’t know the right answer. Or in your case, you did but you couldn’t speak for anyone else.
”Yes and no.”
It was all you could give her now. Olivia didn’t look surprised by your answer – she probably had thought about the matter herself and knew the risks and all.
”This whole vampire thing is quite striking. Takes time to get used to it. But it’s also so intriguing, you know?”
There was a hint of a smirk rising to Olivia’s lips and you grinned back at her, fully knowing what she meant. You had had time to get used to all of the vampire things for months but sometimes it still felt like a completely new thing. Maybe it was because it was one of those things you couldn’t fully understand when you weren’t a vampire.
”Oh, trust me, I know,” you said, stuffing more croinssant into your mouth and Olivia giggled lightly as the crumbs fell all over your plate and some of it even ended up on the table. You were hungry as you hadn’t eaten much that day – a huge mistake that was now biting you in the ass. Olivia looked at you amused when you munched the croissant and you tried your best at keeping your cool.
The noise around you was getting a bit louder, people laughing and chatting, and it was starting to feel a bit too much so that was why you tried to eat and drink faster. Olivia seemed to pick up your message as she also mimicked you, taking longer sips from her coffee and finally starting to eat the piece of cake she had taken. It looked delicious and you kind of had wanted to take something sweet, too, but it wouldn’t have been a good way to fill your stomach when you had barely eaten proper food on that day.
When you finally were finished your unconventional dinner and got out of the cafe, you drew in a deep breath, the fresh, though cold, air hitting your lungs. Olivia was standing beside you, shifting nervously while she eyed you worried.
”I don’t like crowded spaces, especially if the work day has involved a lot of dealing with customers.”
”Oh, you should have said, we could have gone elsewhere…” Olivia looked apologetic and you shook your head.
”It’s fine, I agreed to come here,” you said, offering her a smile. ”The day has been just too much.”
”Yeah, it was pretty crazy today,” Olivia agreed, sighing. ”Got at least a dozen messages from Terzo but had no time to reply to all of them.”
You grinned, remembering how her eyes had lit up every time a new message had come.
”Well, now you have the rest of the afternoon and the whole evening left, so…” You moved your brows suggestively and Olivia laughed, giving a light shove to your arm.
”As if you won’t be talking to Copia as soon as you get home.”
You rolled your eyes. ”Not right away. I think I need a little nap first. Besides, we’ve always preferred talking face to face.”
”Oh, so you can smooch and all, right?” Olivia continued teasing and you groaned, though the smile on your lips told that you really weren’t annoyed by it. It was nice to be able to talk about this stuff – relationship stuff – with her. Olivia was easy to get along with and now you kind of had something more in common – you both dated vampires. Or she and Terzo weren’t dating officially, yet, but it surely seemed that soon they might be.
”Hey, can I be honest with you?” Olivia then asked, her face again serious. You nodded, reaching out for her coat covered arm and placing your hand on it.
”Sure,” you said, squeezing her arm lightly. She always got a bit nervous when it was something serious she wanted tp share and you felt grateful that she wanted to share such things with you. It didn’t mean that you could offer her much comfort or advice or something but at least you could lend her an ear.
”This is probably stupid but…” she paused for a moment, taking a deep breath and releasing the air before continuing, ”I’m scared.”
She didn’t need to open up the matter more, you knew. You also had been scared and if you were honest, you still were at times. So many things could go wrong when it came to relationhips but you couldn’t let the fear stop you.
”It’s alright, I understand,” you said, giving her arm another squeeze.
”I don’t want to fuck this up,” she said, her eyes seeming shinier as she grabbed a hold of your arm. Your heart sunk in your chest and you hoped you had some chrystal ball that you could look at and see that it was going to be alright. But there wasn’t such a thing or any other bulletproof way to know how things would go.
”You won’t fuck this up.”
It was the best thing you could now offer and it seemed to work at least somehow as Olivia relaxed a bit, her grip on you loosening. You believed in her, you really did.
”Gosh, I hate this feeling…” Olivia stated, frustration clear in her voice. ”I don’t want to be afraid. Hell, for the first time I might have an actual good guy in my life and…” She cut the sentence, letting out a very descriptive shout-like sound.
You grinned at that and soon she started laughing, her whole body shaking and all you could do was stare at her with wide eyes, the warmth slowly filling your heart.
”This all is just… crazy.”
That was something you could sign right away.
”Totally crazy but still kind of awesome, right?” you asked, raising your brow.
Olivia nodded rapidly, a wide smile on her lips.
”Definitely.”
